Shadow Shot Time

Well here it is ... another SSS week posting ... I had to back track since shadows have been hiding all week with our on and off winter weather .. so my pretty Pacific Sunset Maple tree is the provider of this multicoloured leaf laying on the stone work of the rose bed ...
Something simple and soothing ? wink wink
Tracy our host from Hey Harriet will have many many more shadows for you to peruse !
So stroll over and enjoy : )

This maple leaf is beautiful - still with a range of hue from green to red. A nice thing is the shape, that looks so nice on the flag of your Confederation. The maple leaf is a unique artifact of nature and country, too With marvelous artistic shadow, too. Happily it was captured now, next week it will probably be a non-descript brown...

Such a lovely capture of a beautifully fall colored leaf with its shadow. Love the daintiness of the stem with its smaller shadow. Sometimes the simplest things can turn out to be the most artful. You did a beautiful job with this capture. genie

Where is my shadow,
I cannot find her anywhere,
I'm so lonely without her here.

If the lighting's right,
and I am out in the yard,
I bet I'll see her again.

That will make me smile,
My loneliness will end
I'll be with my friend.

Hello there Lisa girl and happy SSS to you as well : )
I actually spent some time trying to do more clean up in the garden .. husband out did me though .. he was a trooper ! : )

Dear Ralph
I so enjoyed that shot of the historical house setting you had!
I have to say I do love our simple but fantastic flag that is recognized with such positive reactions from the rest of the world : )
You are very right .. many of the leaves are brown and crispy .. a normal twist with nature taking the lead ! LOL

Thank you so much nan .. your shadows were perfect for today girl !

Genie thank you so much : ) I do find that so much of what is taken for granted , truly has so much more to give if you can look at it deeply .. the most simple objects can be the perfect ones : )
That is a sweet little poem girl!

Lola how are you girl : ) Hey, thank you very much .. I did a bit of garden clean up with husband (he worked much longer than I did) yesterday .. it was so warm it was eerie ! I am afraid the BIG white storm will be coming for us soon ? LOL ... eeekkk !

Thank you so much Tamara : ) yours was perfect for today !
I have to stop reading your recipes .. the drool on my keyboard is not a nice thing to see? LOL

Thank you Diane .. I did have to go back a few weeks to find it .. but I knew I had saved it for an SSS post ! wink wink

Great colouration on that leaf with just a hint of green left. Most of our leaves have all blown away now, dratted wind.

Marguerite girl .. I am still thinking of those bars .. I wish you hadn't mentioned THEM !!!LOL
Hey don't worry about blog visits .. everyone is caught up in something lately and with Christmas coming .. well .. I'm sure we will all catch up in that horrible month of January !!

Sharon girl you crack me up : )
It won't be Spring for so long I wonder if I can even make it to next year ? LOL .. Your shots were gorgeous .. they all had a unique atmosphere to each one .. we will have to hunt hard for shadows in the next few months I think ... BIG groan !

Meggie girl I hope the greenhouse roof stays on in that wind ! Looks like it is going to be ugly weather for a bit .. we have rain coming .. crossed fingers it will calm down soon ! happy first Advent for you Meggie girl : )
