For some reason my butterfly weed really stepped out this year .. it flowered the whole season nonstop .... shouting LOOK AT ME ! ... and wow .. I looked .. never underestimate what may seem to be run of the mill plants .. they pack a punch when other "iffy" ones are tired and sad looking. This picture is of their seed pods actually .. I didn't notice them other years but it made me stop and stare this year !
