Black Lace Sambucus "state"

This is one sad looking Black Lace Sambucus .. I'm lucky it is alive actually .. the poor guy has been "placed" in different spots a couple of times , thus the sad look. BUT .. I have high hopes for it yet .. I'm sure it will grow up to be a beauty next year ? .. mean time it is keeping company with the variety of "blue/green/gray" coloured plants I have as an underplanting.
