Rumex sanguineus ssp. sanguineus, Red Dock

The bottom picture includes a very healthy looking "red dock" it was rather sickly during the summer with the heat and drought but always manages to pull through .. I planted it thinking it would only react as an annual because a garden center person said it would not take the winters here .. well I guess I have achieved a micro-climate circumstance and I'm very happy to report this is its third year in my garden ! info on this plant --> http://www.monrovia.com/PlantInf.nsf/0/4763a65ddba217fc88256e3900642596?OpenDocument
I have to include one of my favorite Ninebarks .. Summer Wine ... in fact I haven't met a Ninebark I didn't like as of yet !
