Yet again I went to find some of my own pictures for this post but "nope" .. I know they are hiding on my hubby's computer though ! .. So this not my picture .. credit due to other people but it gives you a little idea of "Sonota" .. which is my favorite .. BUT .. this year I am trying out "Picotee"[Photo] http://www.2bseeds.com/cosmospicotee.shtml .. I just can NOT resist the way it looks. I think I have unconsciously gone for a white and red theme in the garden .. and you can bet it won't be on time for Canada Day .. I always potted these seeds but I think this year I am going to be really daring and sprinkle some in random in areas that could use a shot in the arm ..I didn't have any last year and I have to say .. it is a good lesson for a gardener, to miss some plants .. then you appreciate them much more ! I always kept to Sonota with Cosmos .. but I have to try to get out of my rut and try a different one ! I think they are gorgeous flowers to have.

I love cosmos, it freely reseeds in my garden. I also have quite a few seed packets too. I should have lots of cosmos this year.
Joy, thanks for the reminder, my garden needs some cosmos seeds too. After awhile the seedlings stop seeding around and it's time to add a new crop.

Hey Melanie .. it is funny I went one year without them and MISSED them so much .. now I hope they will seed from this season .. but I know it is tricky with our weather .. gotta' have 'em ! LOL
