Easter Pink

I was tempted to try an Easter colour font but worried it might not show up well. I don't want to give anyone eye strain .. I know what that can be like when you are reading so many posts.
I thought I would snap a few pictures of my Xmas cactus gone Easter theme. It is such a pale delicate shade of pink even as it is closed .. so it is a day or two late to open on time, but pretty all the same.
My new wonders .. the "orchid girls" .. I decided to call them girls .. I have no idea about what gender they may be .. hope they don't mind ? .. in any case they received their first feeding and misting .. so far so good .. didn't even have to burp them !
I just hope when I get up tomorrow morning I don't find that they threw themselves off the shelf from despair of an over enthusiastic new mama ?

I love your site...thanks for visiting mine! I had a Christmas cactus that I inherited from my grandmother...It had the most beautiful blooms...I put it outside one summer and the squirells ravaged it. It never really came back from that. I gave out starts to family and such, so I will have to track those down and restart it...

Hi Jean Anne .. that is a wonderful history of having your grandmother's Xmas cactus .. especially since it was "farmed" out to other relatives it is like a "bank" .. so you can track it down and get it back !
I think this cactus has a split personality .. half Xmas half Easter ? haha

I was looking at some christmas cactus yesterday and wondering why they were still blooming. They're obviously not as closely linked to Christmas as their name suggests - yet another marketing ploy perhaps??

Hi Sue .. I might have repotted two different cactus in the same pot .. if I remember correctly .. ages ago .. who knows ? .. maybe they are menopausal too ? LOL
