It may say "sooty' but in most descriptions it refers to the colour as a chocolate .. add Sweet (William) .. and there I leave with two of these in my hands last summer .. now to see if it will look as good as it sounds ?

Dianthus barbatus nigrescens ‘Sooty’ ?
Ok ... I am a sucker when "chocolate' is used in any form of the English language. Pair that up with a plant for my garden ... and BINGO ! Ya' have my attention !
