The "issue"

This cat bed by the deck is a bit of an issue .. Emma wants it .. it really is Sophie's choice digs while I'm in my office here .. so it is almost a shared commodity. Sophie is trying to look aloof ? .. presently little Emma is in Sophie's bed .. and Sophie is in the bed behind my chair here. And yes .. both have a section of the beloved cut up VINTAGE Hudson Bay blanket .. phew !

aw, Emma is so sweet!

but don't worry Sophie, I still love you and your beautiful blue eyes.

Maybe one day Emma and Sophie will share, and snuggle up together. I'm glad they're adjusting to each other.

Oh my gosh, look at that little face! Adorable. And Sophie seems to take it all in stride...like a big sister should. :)

Hi nancy .. yup .. Sophie is adjusting to "Miss Adorable" .. she has heard us use the word "No!" with Emma .. so that helps ? haha

garden girl .. we are so hoping that will happen eventually .. so far so good ! .. and yes .. Sophie still has themost gorgeous blue eyes I have ever seen !

Very generous of Sophie, she must be adjusting if she allows such a flagrant encroachment of her territory without a hissy fit.
Both are beautiful girls.

Hi Frances .. yes .. fingers crossed things are going well . now if we could stop Emma from tackling Sophie's tail when it twitches (while watching the birds) .. that would be great! haha

Glad to see that she's being so tolerant. Maybe one day she'll adjust and share, but Reggie never did. She learned to be tolerant but was a bit crabby when they got too playful with her. Maybe your Sophie has a different temperment though?

The pleasure of learning to live together. My daughter has 3 cats and 3 cat beds, they each had a favourite but now she has them in different rooms and you never know which cat will be in which bed. They seem to take turns.

Crafty .. isn't that the way when they become older .. although my previous beauties were sort of stuck on their favorites .. I think these two will take turns some how : )

More great photos--thanks, Joy! Maybe it's time for a "cat castle." We have one with three perches, so everybody can find a place in the feline pecking order. (But they still prefer the beds--ours and Molly's, of course...)

Hi ben .. do you know .. we have a big cat hangout down stairs in the family room .. but even if we found some space here in my "office" aka kitchen .. they would still find another favorite spot ! yes .. you do know what I mean .. haha .. Sophie is being so tolerant (must be the Main Coon part of her eh ?) .. Emma will be a baby for a while yet .. and that is fine .. Sophie finds her .. amusing ? LOL
Thanks for stopping by ben !
Joy
