Woodland Mix

I love my little Wintergreen plant. The colours are amazing .. the berries are a treat after the tiny flowers. My Bunchberry is not up to snuff right now , so this little guy picks up the slack. Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' .. gold creeping jenny is my living mulch plant .. it can spread quickly but it isn't hard to yank it out where you don't want it. It really does help protect the "feet" of some touchy plants in summer and again in winter before the snow hits. I have a little "Ivory Hearts Dicentra" in the mix as well , it seems this particular dicentra takes a while to mature and grow larger. Just when you want to say HURRY UP ! to see how beautiful it truly is.

What a fabulous mix of leaf textures! I've never seen a dicentura that didn't have green leaves. What an awesome plant!

If I had creeping Jenny that looked like that, I'd leave it everywhere. Just beautiful, Joy. You're giving me ideas!

Philip ... is is amazing how many different combinations you can try out .

Cinj .. that is what struck me about this one .. the foliage and then the flowers .. really interesting !

Karen .. hi ! .. it is a pretty plant and white has a great influence with it all.

Jared .. it really is a great "living" mulch resource too ! and the colour is striking .. Rees and I were talking about it before and thought the match of Black Mondo grass and this would be very dramatic .. now I have to find that grass ! haha
