Your cats look so affectionate--my two (from the same litter) gave up grooming each other years ago Sigh.Having just seen your response to Friend Ben on Poor Richard, and having posted something about cat-in-the-garden problems, I am VERY interested in your Montreal pepper spice advice. Do tell!--kate
Kate .. these girls have a year and a half between them and not related at all .. it was iffy how Sophie was going to react to Emma .. but they still have wrestlemania here too .. not all hugs and kisses ! hahaMontreal Steak Spice .. it really is the name of the steak spice we use for steaks etc .. the funny thing was I tried "Critter-Ridder" and it sort of worked .. but I compared the price of that and a BIG bottle of the spice .. cheaper for the spice and MUCH more affective .. what ever was bothering my garden .. cat, raccoon or what not .. did NOT like this spice combo .. I buy it at Costco in the large size but I haven't had to use it in a long time now. If you can buy it .. try it ! I can truly say it works : )
Wow Joy! Emma's gotten so big already! I've been so busy I haven't gotten around much. Glad to see your little sweeties are getting along so well.
Awwwww!!!!! These photos were just what I needed after a ghastly day on relentless deadline. Thanks!!! Hugs to Mesdames Sophie and Emma for cheering things up.
'ben" Sophie and Emma are happy to oblige any time for cutesy ? coffee breaks ? LOLgarden girl .. she has stretched out .. but she wears off calories and doesn't weigh all that much .. boy, I wish I had her metabolisim !
joy,Your kitties are so adorable and sweet, by comparison, my cat Coal...is, well, he isn't sweet! But I love the big lug anyway!Gail
I love the picture of the cats! They are definately happy in their home. I was reading the comments left and noticed your reply to Kate about the CritterRidder...have you any fix for a 11 wk old puppy??? LOL. Just call me hopeful! Have a great time in your garden. BTW...the pictures in your blog are beautiful. I enjoy reading it greatly. BJ
Thank you so much BJ .. I never thought I would get so involved in my own blog before .. but it is great fun and having responses like yours is really nice. You have your hands full with a puppy !Now that is another matter altogether .. haha.Gail .. how are you ! .. hey, my girls aren't always sweet .. Emma can be a eal little devil to Sophie .. then the big slap down happens .. Coal is a gorgeous boy .. he just has the attitude to match ? haha
Awww. What a sweet moment! My cats are supposedly from the same litter (?). I got them from the same place at the same time 4 years ago. They still groom each other, but are usually done by the time I get up, find the camera, turn it on and find the perfect shot. Ah well, at least you were able to capture them on film er- digital media? Some cats seem to be a bit more "motherly" than others. Sweetie does most of the grooming in our pair even though they're the same age.
Wow---I don't think I've done anything that looks that enjoyable. Makes you wanna be a cat for a few seconds huh? Miss ya! Anna--Flower--Gardening..gone..mad..girl.
Dear Joydo you think there is a better thing than to sit near the cats and feel well with them? My cat prefer to stay alone with me. So I look at your lovely photographs and think it' s wonderful to have a friend!Have a great timeWurzerl
Hello Wurzerl ! .. my girls like to curl up in one of the many "beds" I have for them with me in the kitchen, as I am on my lap top .. it is very peaceful when they are sleeping .. but they have their naughty moments too !Hey Anna .. hope you are feeling a bit better ? .. yup .. being a cat and coming to a cat lovers home .. well .. it is pretty darn good ! hahaCinj .. it is a fluke that I have my camera near (digital .. can't imagine trying to do it with a film camera any more ..this is just too easy ?) .. they both have their grooming moments .. some are darn funny .. cats .. nothing like them ! haha
Wow Emma looks all grown up now, I bet she enjoys the mothering.. and the fishy breath. Always a treat to see those two work a 'cutie pie' spell upon us.
Hi Violet .. it is so funny to see them do the snuggle routine .. then Emma gets a little too demanding or playful and Sophie has had "ENOUGH" foolishness ..this is such a treat, we have never had two cats get along like this .. age makes a heck of a difference.
