I sometimes 'shake my head' at the entire garden. I worried so much about them during my horrible winter but they seem to be so happy... Who knows what makes 'em grow? Beautiful photos! :) -k

WOW OH WOW!

Hey Joy, I've trying to figure out why you haven't been posting my comments and just saw that they need me to do that "stuff" again. Duh, silly me has been posting away and then clicking off into blogger land. Sorry, now I know why they aren't showing up.

Were you getting too much spam? I got some but it stopped lately.

Gail .. ah, jeez ... Thanks !
My zoo has quite a few odd plants .. I guess that says I'm off the wall a bit myself ? LOL

Hi there Gardenpath .. yup ! so far so good .. these guys can "heave" during the winter which means placing them back in the ground properly .. but I haven't had that problem .. yet ?

I already have the Jack Frost on my list of plants to add, but now you've got me convinced I need to add some heuchera and heucherella. This Stop Light is really striking. Enjoyed your clever titles!

I thought at first I was looking at a Foam Flower (Tiarella). The foliage is similar to Tiarella 'Black Velvet'.

After looking them up I found they are a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella. Unfortunately my favorite nursery doesn't grow "Stop Light" or I'd throw some on the truck on my next visit.

I did buy some Heuchera 'Sashay' I couldn't pass by after seeing. They have frilly foliage that's green on the top and deep purple on the bottom. The leaves are so ruffled that the purple undersides are visible. I'll have to post a photo when I get a chance.

I love heuchera anyway but I'm a huge fan of anything that is lime like or chartreuse -- what a beauty this is!! How on earth could anyone resist that!

Cheers,
Diane

Diane .. you must have "Lime Ricky" or "Key Lime Pie" ? now those are shocking chartreuse and when planted with a dark foliage one (Queen Victoria Lobelia .. is one I do with them) it is a wow !
Thanks for stopping by again : )

Wiseacre .. I have seen "Sashay" on the net and thought WOW ! .. so please don't forget to post a picture of it .. I haven't seen it here so maybe by next year I might be able to find one .. or .. you could throw one across the bridge and I'll catch it ! LOL

Hi Rose .. I'm so glad I can help out making you want more plants too ! I just posted back on your site that I think I NEED help because I can't stop buying plants .. truly .. this year it is worse than ever .. BIG sigh.

I never really appreciated Heucheras that much, but I think you might have changed my mind. Love the 3rd picture in your Jack and friends post.

Cheers Mark

Once again--and no surprise--we shopped at the same store. Tirella and Hucherra made a nice couple didn't they? I can't get enough of these cultivars. They just keep getting better.

Mark ... hello ! ..I'm only too happy to change your mind about these surprising jewels ? in the garden. To tell you the truth I have reconsidered a lot of plants I didn't take a shine to either .. I don't know what it is but we seem to change our attitiudes don't we ? LOL

Anna .. they do seem to make some wonderful "kids" don't they ? .. It is amazing what beautiful plants are being created .. I'm hopelessly addicted ? LOL
