'Lorraine Sunshine' Heliopsis helianthoides ****

You just have to smile at this false sunflower. It isn't huge like my run of the mill one that is a monster and volunteered itself over/under the fence to my neighbor's side .. at least she doesn't seem to mind much yet ? .. these guys are very tolerant of our dry yet humid summers. I think it is the variegation of the foliage that is really striking when yoou look at this plant .. I have a soft spot for variegated foliage for some reason and this one packs a wow factor with that bright sunny flower on top.
Lorraine .. ya' got to love her a little at least ?

I'm with ya on the foliage. Just as important to me as flowers for sure! Hope the "raccoon is behaving itself..."

Cindee it is one of those plants in the garden that make you stop and LOOK for sure !

Brenda .. good foliage is a bonus : )
Raccoon man worked his butt off yesterday building the box with the door under our sofet .. it was a lot of work and a lot of up and down the ladder .. so different from our LAZY LOOSER first idiot !
I think we are finally getting some where !!!
