The raccoon box that "Pro-Man Curtis" built ...

I'm sorry I couldn't get pictures of the raccoons .. but now you can see what I was talking about with a box having to be built, in a very tricky ANGLE, to put the one way door on .. ironically it worked too well and one very little baby was left behind .. Then the door was taken off (after discovery that it was very little baby, crying for mom frantically) and last night mommy came back , retrieved baby and went on her way to their new home ...

That is/was quite a process! I am so glad the raccoon was in the chimney and not the attic and there was one in the crawl space but not the attic!
So much easier to get to!

So glad she came for her baby.

Cindee .. our first LOSER guy had no intention of putting any effort out and certainly wouldn't go in the attic and would not believe in the possibility of babies in there .. so you can see why I FIRED HIM ? LOL
Curtis (second guy) was up in the attic a few times(hot as hell in the too so it takes a ot of effort) and building the box etc .. what a difference between the two !

Gail .. we have no chimney .. gas fireplace and electrical side board heating .. the mom and babies were in the attic .. one heck of a difficult space to look around in.

Glad to hear that things have settled down as far as the raccoon problem. I was wondering how this saga turned out while I was on vacation.

Hi Crafty .. hopefully we are almost done with the raccoon saga .. all that has to be done now is take the box down and repair the area it had to be built around ... seemed to take forever .. phew !
