Baptisia is a huge favorite with me, too---gorgeous in three seasons, and one of the first plants I can ever remember noticing especially, growing in my great-aunt's very formal Edwardian garden. Here at hawk's haven, we of course have it in our Cultivated Wild Garden in front of the Pullet Palace. But it still looks marvelous!

Joy ~ I've been away too long. Like you, busy with the events of the growing season and life, in general. Love the new format and sophisticated look of the blog... a bit of redecorating eh?

Baptisia in New England are also in full rattle mode - love that sound! Great shot... Deb

Thanks very much Deb ! .. aside from spelling Baptisia wrong in my title ? LOL .. yes .. I am trying to revamp the blog a bit .. I almost wandered over to Wordpress but I'm still trying out EBlog to fit a little better ? : )

"ben" I bet those chickens love the look of 'their" baptisia ! haha
It really has become a favorite of mine.
Isn't it funny how "first" plants stay in our memory from childhood on .. mine was my great aunt's dahlias .. they were amazing .. I still remember how they smell too : )
