A View From Here ?

Anyone who reads my little blog already knows I am an ornamental grass fan .. soon to be bamboo fan hopefully (next year?) .. my Karl Foerster is a little skinny this year, so this view is rather thinish too ? The raccoon adventures had somebody sleeping in it since it was warm and dry .. grumble grumble .. wasn't the attic enough ?
In any case I took a shot through the seed heads because they do turn a lovely tan colour .. summoning Autumn with a wispy flick of its head .. : ) How is that for poetic description ?

The front doesn't look too bad, as long as you don't look too closely. Various naughty pests have been having their way with most of my darlings there .. and it is in design "flux" .. I'm not sure I will keep the BES there .. the height is screwing up continuity of proportions .. how does that sound ? .. in other words being a Libra I find it out of wack ! The gradient is OFF ... it is driving me to twitchiness ? So rather than look like I need a lot of Valium ( which I could probably use, as my husband thinks, most days, when I start sweating the small things badly ?) .. I have to seriously think of relocating them and have the calmness of relatively low flying plants ... phew ... I'm so glad we discussed this issue !

Your front garden is so, so pretty! What a lovely composition. I'm horrible at stuff like that, I just plunk things in wherever, mostly. Dutchman's Pipe sounds interesting, I am considering vines to replace my aphid-ravaged honeysuckle and that could maybe be an option, depending on zone requirements.

Karen .. Thank you ! .. That is what I found when I had a Honeysuckle vine .. the aphids LOVED it .. BIG yuck to that. I have quite a few vines .. I'm curious as to what zone you are in ? Dutchman's Pipe takes a couple of years but considering this is such a shade area it is doing very well now .. once I got over the bumpy period ? LOL

Hi Sue! .. I honestly thought I had you on there before girl .. Ilove the concept you have with balcony gardening because you give me great ideas for my deck : )
I'm a contrast gal .. got to have "zing" ? LOL

'ben" I am far from an artist but I love the compliment : ) I keep striving to tweak areas to become "just right" for a little while at least .. driving passion in small places ? haha

Your front garden looks amazing and it shows you have put a lot of care in it.

Nice ornamental grass. They are a nice addition to your garden.
