Sky, leaves, and a smudge on my lens ?

This morning's sky started out beautifully .. not a gorgeous red cloud morning but a perfectly still blue one. This single jet trail was just a thread to part the way.
Engelmann Ivy on the far side of our deck in glorious reds
Peking Cotoneaster with leaves and berries ripe to bursting
Yes ! I did put these two leaves end to end on the raised border wood .. they were too pretty not to !

My beautiful purple flame miscanthus .. trapped in a too small corner of the garden. never mind .. next year you shall be FREE !

This Viburnum is a standard cultivar .. but still pretty and appreciated !

Time to get my Halloween gear out and practice my cackle ????

Joy, All this witch cackle talk has made me think of my favorite Macbeth scene! I loved the witches!

" When shall we three meet again in thunder, lightning, or in rain? When the hurlyburly 's done, when the battle 's lost and won "

The garden is still lovely,

Gail

Hi Gail .. I think we all must "picture" that scene when we read or hear it quoted .. I know I did even the very first time in English lit.
My imagination can still give me goosebumps when it runs away with ideas ? LOL
Thank you .. garden NEEDS some rain now ! Yikes

Good morning Joy! Your garden looks beautiful in its fall colors!

I hope you get some rain soon. Looks like we'll be getting some today, and we need it. I hope it means a day off from work!

I love fallen leaves. They have such a rich character to them somehow. Nature has so many beautiful things, and not all of them are flowers!

It's all looking so beautiful. This really is the best time of the year, isn't it? Mid-October, where the air feels like fall, and Halloween is definitely on the way. I almost dread the 31st, because then it's all over. But I really enjoy it now.

Hi Cameron .. I am a sucker for grasses .. but of course in my rush when I bought them a few years ago I really didn't think about how much room they have .. I have to move Huron Sunrise too .. that is a beauty ! .. I haven't heard of cosmopolitan .. I have to look that up !

Megan .. I feel the same way .. I love to feel this month completely for every sensation it has .. then the day after Halloween .. there is such a let down .. till we get sort of close to Xmas .. the January yawns in front of us ? Good GRIEF !!! haha

Brenda .. I couldn't agree more ! there are such beautiful aspects to plants .. it is sad if flowers are the only thing some one appreciates .. but I think all gardeners know this, don't they ?

Hi there garden girl .. I worked in the garden until 12:30 ... it is gray and windy out now, and hoping for some rain since I cleared some clutter so it will soak well into the soil .. supposed to be tonight actually , then nice tomorrow .. heres hoping ! : )
