A Wee Bit of Kingston

This is what the moon looks like from Kingston ... a few nights ago .. well it wasn't exactly night as you can see .. early evening ? ... sometimes the moon is so awesome I can't believe it is real .. but didn't "they" go there a few times .. or was that rigged ? hehehehe

We have a historic site called Fort Henry .. it is on a large hill (that is supposed to be a good thing .. right ?) .. in any case ... it is very interesting and it can offer some rather nice views ... if you look to the right side of the photo .. sort of midway .. you see a little but very red tour bus that takes people to different areas of the city to see its history .. kind of a cute bus right ?
This is a very nice plant/garden center ... I love how they decorate and have so many wonderful plants in window boxes ... reminds me of Europe .. just a pretty picture the day we were wandering around.

The moon is gorgeous here tonight! At sunset it was coming up over the tops of the trees that are just starting to show color for autumn. Fabulous article and photos. Thanks, Cameron

Hi Darlene .. it is a well run shop and they make a lot of effort to stick out ? which makes it fun to go visit and buy a plant or two ? LOL

Hi Gail ... that is such a tiny peek at Kingston .. we have really pretty historic buildings and of course being on the edge of Lake Ontario , there are beautiful water views too !

Hi there Cameron .. Thank you ! ... last night the moon was first vailed with mist then as it got higher in the sky .. bam ! it was huge and bright and flooded our deck and kitchen in moonlight .. so beautiful.
I bet yours looked wonderful too : )

Debbie ? what on earth is going on that you aren't showing up girl ? .. did you go through that thing with the instructions from Stuart ? .. are you still on feedburner .. I'll see what I can do about a spell for you girl !

Isn't it funny how autumn always drags us out to enjoy its rich display of colors and our home town's magic at it's very best? Beautiful post, Joy. A delightful garden center like the one on your photo is a danger to any gardener's bank account. LOL

No witch on a broomstick flying across the moon - you must have missed her :-)
Or is that shadow her hat and cloak as she moves out of shot?

Having been to Kingston numerous times in the past year, I can certainly attest to the beauty of your scenic city. We’ve barely scratched the surface of all the wonderful areas of greenery your area has to offer, many of which include lakes. But we are looking forward to discovering and exploring more and more great places once we’re there for good. That lovely plant/garden center looks like a good place to start…at least for me…LOL…

Beautiful picture of the moon!

Hi WR .. We had been "posted" to Kingston 3 times .. and even living here now for almost 10 years we still have lots of places to explore .. I'll let you know of the good garden centers and nurseries to visit once you want to "dig" in to your garden here ? LOL .. lots to choose from : )

easygardener ! you got it ! .. I didn't want to explain about those blackish bits to the side of the photo .. but you KNEW all the time ! LOL

Hello Violet : )
Yes ! .. that garden store usually sees me in Spring .. and I usually leave with my arms full .. and the bank account KNOWS it ! haha
This has been a gorgeous Autumn here .. we get perfect conditions ever few years and I want to take advantage of it before the winds blow the leaves off the trees completely ! : )
