Draw a Line Under it and Move On ?

This was a rather remarkable 'jet trail" .. no beginning and no ending, just a straight middle line. Like a line you would mark under a word to emphasize or diminish its importance ? Or as our British friends say "draw a line under it and get on with it".
That is how I feel about the last dregs of winter now .. let us please get on with these few more days? details? and finish what seems to be a never ending winter for us northerners ?
Aside from the thoughts of what this line could mean .. it was a beautiful cold but clear morning and the sky if not showy was peaceful .. something we all need from time to time : )

There was this one lonesome bird in our Mountain Ash tree .. I'm not sure what it is but it was like a magnet to my camera .. I couldn't focus directly on the bird but I really loved the composition of the picture .. the bark is actually reflecting the morning sun if you click on the picture to enlarge it , you will see what I am talking about.
I haven't noticed the tiny wispy 'fingers" where the flowers and berries form .. they amaze me and of course they seem rather .. wait for it .. Halloweenish ? : )

Lastly .. I couldn't resist the snow diamonds on my neighbor's roof .. I mean really, who could ignore that wonderful sparkle to start your day off with ?

Perhaps that line in the sky was to draw our attention! I have a feeling that the first true signs of spring are going to be drawn on the sky's surface.... don't know about you, but I'm tired of looking at all this snow.... ok... I admit the diamond patterns are trez cool, but I think I'll be suffering from snow blindness soon! Stay warm Joy!

I love how the snow sparkles too. It is so beautiful to see. Thanks for sharing your picture since we hardly ever have snow here.

Hi Teza .. I'm truly sick of snow too, but sometimes I just have to find that little something about it to appreciate or I will go stark raving MAD !! Keep toasty too ! : )

Hello Monica .. thank you for stopping by and enjoying the post ! : )

Cindee .. girl you can have all of my snow any time you want to borrow it !! LOL

Joy, Love the photos, especially the sky-line and the sparkling snow diamonds. This winter seems to be brutal for folks in the north. We are a little tired of cold weather, too. I hope you are starting to see a change and that a bit of warmth shows up...soon! gail

The snow diamonds were so interesting! Is it really ice?
I love your tree pictures. I really enjoy all your pictures
Joy-I know spring will be there soon for you!

Heck don't let Cindee borrow the snow, let's give it to her for keeps.
I didn't time to take sky photos today or even tomorrow as it is early start at work for me. No luck on finding the new camera yet, only sketchy details on the web.

That is one cool line of jet wash there, Joy! What a stroke of luck that you caught it at just the right moment. And I love your bird photo -- any idea what it is yet?

It's still winter here, too, but today we had a winter storm warning and . . . it RAINED instead of SNOWED! Cold, winter rain, yes, but NO SNOW! I was very happy. Of course, we might be covered in ice by tomorrow morning, but the snow berms were noticeably smaller by this evening. VW

Hi Cat .. You said it girl ! beyond ready for signs of Spring .. ANY sign of Spring !!!!

Gail ..This winter seems to be a very long one for us all .. climate change ? our perception ? what ever the heck it is "get back on that horse you rode in on and LEAVE " !!!!! haha

Hi MT .. Thank you girl ! .. I think they are tiny chippets of icy snow mixed with regular snow .. then the light enhances that reflection to make them look this pretty (I was going to say cool ?? LOL)

Linda .. You are right .. Cindee should keep the snow for one year and give us a break ? LOL .. I am going to check Future Shop or Best Buy today and I'll let you know if I find any information !

Thank you Nancy ! .. this morning it is perfectly clear out, no clouds, nothing .. but COLD ! .. Hubby thought he hear a robin that morning I took the photo .. if you look at his chest it does look a bit orange ? maybe ??? LOL

Hi VW .. that sort of mix is scary if it freezes .. when we lived on Vancouver Island we did get heavy wet snow for a few days in the winter .. everyone thought it was great .. mostly because they knew it wouldn't stay long ? haha

Hang on, Joy, it's the last week of February! Of course, I know that doesn't mean spring will magically start on Sunday, but March always gives me hope. Did you get the bad storm that hit New England yesterday?

I just saw the beautiful clematis on your previous post; I'm tempted, too, by this gorgeous plant--you may have started a run on these flowers!

You know I'll step over the line if given a chance.

But I'm not feeling up to it. My Halloween maple is no more. A tree cutting utility crew came by the other day and cut it down saying it threatened the power lines.

How about putting a curse on them for me :)

I can't imagine having snow right now. You folks up north are real troopers -- tougher than me for sure!

Here's looking forward to an early spring! :-)

Oh, I wish you could mail me some of the snow diamonds, they are so beautiful! Spring, albeit a false spring has arrived here. I'm itching to get things set out, but I KNOW it will freeze at least once more before spring truly arrives!

Maybe the line was to underscore that winter is leaving! Wouldn't that be something?

Rose girl ! I haven't dropped by your blog in a while .. I have to get back there !! .. We were extremely lucky and did NOT get that storm .. did you see Giddy's pictures of it all ? .. wow ..
YES : ) .. this clematis has my attention .. but is it in my budget, is the important question .. I'm hanging on till March then I'm quitting WINTER !! LOL

Dear Mr. WiseA** .. I'm so sorry about that maple .. I remember pictures of it and it truly was a Halloween beauty .. I'm going to work on that curse for you .. they deserve it or the powers that be that made the call certainly deserve it !! Can you scout out a new Halloween tree for this year ??

Cameron .. I hope next month a miracle happens ... that Spring does fully plunk herself here .. that the new deck is constructed .. the new shed is up and organized .. and I can get into my GARDEN and run the roads in Kingston plant hunting !!

Nola ... girl I would share all my diamonds with all the girls on Blotanical : ) .. they are such pretty gems of winter .. something to cheer me up with when I'm totally disgusted with how long this is taking .. stay strong and don't plant before you can !!LOL

Hellloooo there Brenda ... that is what I am hoping for .. the finishing touch to winter .. please Spring .. come home ??
