March'ing Clouds

It is hard to believe that these clouds were caught in a relatively short time span this morning .. some very subtle changes then some rather dramatic ones.
I thought today was going to be a dark, cold, windy March day .. one of those days you go back to bed and try to catch up on some sleep or "bank" some sleep for more stressful days ahead ?

Almost as if this was air-brushed ? ... well .. I guess it is , isn't it ??
Monet is some where here .. floating in these soft puffy clouds : )

I have been waiting for morning after morning to see a dramatic red sky ... and still nothing for weeks now .. what happened ? where did that artist go to ? will they come back and paint another one for me soon ?
The above picture struck me as an almost black and white one .. so dark and dramatic.
I think the camera went off too quickly and this blue on blue is a fluke .. but still rather pretty .. I think I am supposed to be posting these types of shots on my other blog that sits waiting for me to do something for it ..
I had way too much chocolate this weekend .. yes, there is such a thing as too much chocolate .. I can hear the clucking of tongues now that I have said that .. BIG sigh !
I'm sorry .. but when you raid your number one son and number one husband's Easter chocolate .. it means I have crossed the line !!!
Good Grief ! ...... What Have I Done !!

We started out with dark gloomy clouds too but by lunch time we had clear skies and fluffy clouds.
Keep watching for the red morning sky, you'll capture it one of these day.

Beautiful clouds, Joy -- those first ones are what we call a "mackerel sky" here in NS, having something to do with fishing weather, I'm sure. :)

I love the cirrus clouds in the sky. They remind me of the ocean.

Repeat after me: "Chocolate is good, chocolate is great, and there is no such thing as too much chocolate - just a day that was too short to consume it in a suitable fashion." Great skies.

Hi Linda .. wasn't it a weird way to start the day ? .. I'll be watching for my red sky morning : )

Nancy .. I think I may have heard that one about the skies and fishing .. there is a connection of that I am certain !

Tina .. I think that is what I feel about the sky .. since I'm not near the ocean any more, my sky fills the gap now ?

Barbara .. you are too funny girl !
I love how you put that about the time allotment and the amount of chocolate consumed .. I swear no other holiday is like Easter for chocolate .. and the guilt it brings on one, while scarfing it down ? LOL Thanks girl !!

It was dark and windy and cold here until a bit ago and now its just cold and windy. The sun has poked through the clouds but its to cold to go outside for me.
I baked some apple crisp, did laundry and fun stuff like that!
Chocolate Easter Rabbits are sounding good to me about now(-:

Cindee girl ... I would have shared mine if you were closer ! .. the weather has decided to be very menopausal lately .. you can't tell which way it is feeling ! haha
Apple crisp is a favorite of mine : )

Joy, 'desperate times call for desperate measures'!! You can always go out and get more Easter chocolate...but when you need chocolate, you just gotta have it!! No sense trying to fight it, kiddo!!
I love your cloud shots. The one where the camera went off too soon created a fantastic blue-on-blue look and it's so bright it just screams 'cheerful'!!!!
The dark ones are gloomy, true. BUT it's spring (!) and your weather is going to be gorgeous in no time, I just know it;-)

Wonderful shots, Joy. I hope your weather is warming up a little.

Hi Jan girl ! How are you ? .. This chocolate addiction is getting to me .. I'm trying to break it today .. no chocolate in the house .. phew !!
Spring is truly menopausal .. so the mood swings mean cloud swings and I'm trying to keep up with it all ? ; )
