Tuesday Toodles .. enough green ??

Today was a dark dreary rain day .. but the garden needed such a day .. and even knowing that pictures taken on such gray days, lack "life" "spark" ? I just had to do it anyways ?
For those who followed my shed trauma .. it is so wonderful to have one of such distinction I might add .. well gosh darn it all, if I ran away from home you could find me in it !!
Yesterday was sort of a sad day for me with my magnificent Karly Rose .. the one I had for years gave up the biscuit ? .. bought the farm?.. went to grass heaven ? and it left me holding the bag .. of the new one I had ordered from Canning Perennials .. thankfully I will have my Karly back again in a few years ? meanwhile "Baby Karly" is tucked into her bed : )
Sutherland Gold Sambucus is getting ahead of me .. time to snap that whip !
Plain old False Blue Indigo Baptisia Australis .. what a mouthful that was .. being the gray day it has been .. it isn't fair to show her in such bad lighting ... darn !
Another Dr. Rupple .. can't help myself ? ... again ??
Everyone should have a lupin or two ... right ?
My Tiger Eye .. how is yours doing Gail ? .. pictures ??
Green on green on green ......................
ON GREEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally .. did you think I was finished ? .. Winthrop and his garden .. see my Halloween Sumac all leafed out ? ............ I think she knows Halloween is down the line and counting ???

Everything is lush & healthy looking in your garden Joy. Sorry about Karly Rose, but glad you got a replacement one. Love the little iron support you put over it too. :)

Never met a green I didn't love...except in the bottom of the refrigerator, that is. (those multicultural situations)

Toodles, methinks I like the word! It is so rewarding to see that the gardens have been so forgiving of the chaos that overtook their space this spring - asiding poor Karley Rose, but I am sure her replacement will have you smiling in no time!
Oh how I am torn between the Sambucus nigra "Sutherland's Gold,' and the Rhus 'Tiger Eyes!' I am not sure which I am more fond of, but realize that I haven't the room for either! And my dear friend, there is no such thing as a 'plain' Baptisia! It is one of my perennial favourites.... seeing that I have five different species on my small property!
Keep us posted with further displays of your gardens.... they are wonderful!

Looking good(-: What happened to Karly? Weather to much or something else?
My grasses I bought are still alive! I hope they make it through the summer! I will love when they fill in the bed and look like a bedspread(-:
I check them everyday to make sure they are still alive!
I love cloudy rainy days(-: Hope we have another one soon(-:
I have some green shoes just like yours(-:

Hello there Racquel !
Thank you girl : ) .. this season so far has not been too hot or humid .. and just enough rain fall to keep things growing and looking nice .. so far so good !

Hey there Jodi girl : )
The monster in the fridge is an alien we don't want to deal with eh ? haha .. green is good after months of white and brown ? hehe

Tessa .. now you are the queen of green girl ! The veggies you have are remarkable ! I am amazed with all the work you go through and it shows : )

Hello there puppy : )
Isn't it amazing just how forgiving a garden can be ? .. I'm so happy things are coming together again for me. The Karly was a bit of a shock, but Canning saved the day for me .. you don't see Karly here from my searching at least.
Are you sure you don't have room for one of these gorgeous cut leaf babies ? I know you have packed in an extraordinary amount of plants in your tiny garden .. it still amazes me how the heck you did that ! LOL
I have to admit I would love more baptisia .. they do take some time to establish .. this one is about 5 or 6 years old .. I don't think it is plain either really ; )
Yes .. as the season unfolds , so do the pictures ? haha

Hi there Cindee girl ! I think what happened to Kary was a combination of me not getting to her to break the ties I had for support last year and being crowded in by landscape fabric plus all the "junk" we had stacked up in the garden .. but now I have "baby Karly" phew !
I just know your grasses will be fine girl .. don't worry ! a bedspread in the garden .. now that is an eye full ! hehe
I just couldn't help the comparison of my watering can and my shoes .. love lime green : )

Hello there knittnkitten ! .. I have to come visit again girl ! : )
Thank you for dropping by and reminding me !

Debbie girl .. I know it is early to start the Halloween thing .. but you know me girl .. never too early, an all year round event ? LOL

My goodness Linda .. thank you girl ! You have a beautiful one yourself : )

Joy, I love the new shed! Is the patio also new or was it always there and I missed it? The garden looks divinely green. I do need to show you a photo of Tiger's Eye...must plan a post! Thanks for the nudge. gail

OMG, looks perfect !!!!
Hey, can you come over and tidy my yard ? Yours is picture perfect !
Green clogs and watering can are very cool. All your garden accents are great and even the shed looks really good.
Were you standing on the roof to take that one picture? lol

Hi Gail, thanks girl .. the patio has been there all this time .. in fact it needs some attention now that the shed looks so darn cute !
We are in green mode right now ... until the big thirst begins with the real summer .. get posting girl !!

Patsi .. you break me up here girl ! NO ... I swore I would never get on the roof again to take pictures and I mean it this time !! hehe .. I was on the deck !
It is only tidy for pictures .. then it is all hell on wheels the rest of the time ? .. so I wouldn't be any help to you at all .. unless you make one HUGE batch of fudge .. then I'll be right over !!!!!

Joy, things are looking good over in your garden! I especially love your playhouse!

You can never have too much green, especially with us Canadians that are starved for it for so many months.

Well, you've certainly carved out your own piece of paradise right in your own backyard! I'm 'green' with envy. Sorry, had to use the word green somehow...har har har...

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Hey Martha ! I was thinking of you today, because, I was thinking I may be splitting day lilies up and you might be interested in having some perhaps ? to green up your GREEN SPACES ?? This is the period of grace time we have in Kingston .. until the heat, humidity and assorted bugs and slugs drive us CRAZY ; ) I've been up since 5:30 AM .. I think I need to go to bed NOW ... zzzzzz ! LOL

Your garden looks beautiful, Joy. And especially remembering that just a short time ago it was first covered with snow and then with building materials. Aren't you glad that is all behind you?:) I love all the shots of green--I even have the same color of garden clogs as you!

Yay for green! Look at those lovely garden beds. Oh, how I wish for rain! Nice shed -- I can't wait to replace our hail-damaged one.

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Rose girl .. we should have a club called "The Green Clog Girls" ? LOL
YES !!!! I can't say how utterly happy I am not having building materials OR snow ?? hehehe
I'm hoping to get one more project done in the Autumn or late summer with the bricking of the border business .. then that stepping stone pathway .. it never ends does it ??

Hey MT how are you girl ? .. I'm glad I can offer a bit of an oasis ? for you .. we are waiting for rain .. it is HUMID and that needs to happen to break the weather ... aaahhhh !

Hello there Meredith .. I waited a long time for just the right shed .. and I didn't even know that I wanted it that badly .. husband NEEDED a new one to replace the banged up metal catastrophe (long story .. hail is easier to explain ? haha)
