Shadow Shot Sunday

This is truly in the "shadows" folks. My shady garden has been getting shadier even as I type here. The morning sun that it gets is magical and so appreciated : ) The shade is even more appreciated lately because of the record high temperatures and humidity that we are famous for here in Ontario by the lakes. The birds have great use of our meager birdbath and wonderful use of the drop in temperature in the shade .. it can be astounding !
Tracy from Hey Harriet is the upside down ? hostess : ) of this meme .. I say upside down because being so south of us she is in the opposite season and I'm thinking that is a "good" place to be right now ?? wink wink

Your tapestry of shade plants is very pretty, even in the shadows.

Ah, yes, the shade has been so appreciated this past week. There is nothing like seeking out shade on a hot, humid day.

Nice shady garden shot. I too am in the upside down part of the world, and while you are enjoying Summer we are experiencing Winter.

Your plants looks so healthy and pretty(-:
I scored two Japanese One is Ever Red, One is green, Weeping Maples...clearance priced at 19.99 each...they were regular 99.99 dollars. I think they screwed up(-:
Then yesterday scored a Japanese Maple regular kind about 8 feet tall for 7 dollars! It has a problem but can be fixed I think(-:
All from Lowes(-:
Someday I might get a picture of my yard.(-:

That's such a pretty spot! A lovely place for the birds to hang out! I'm jealous of your hot and humid temps. It's currently autumn here and a couple of days away from winter. I'm so not looking forward to winter! Although winter temps here in tropical Queensland are most likley very mild in comparison to most places. So I shouldn't complain. But it's what I do and I'm good at it ;)

Hope you have a great week and manage to stay cool!

That is a deliciously cool and shady spot - just looking at it is refreshing. No wonder the birds appreciate it.

Hello there Sylvia and thank you very much ! I hope your weekend has been nice and relaxing : )

Lisa girl .. you are waxing on the poetic side of things ? ;-) Thanks girl !

Linda this heat wave has been ridiculous hasn't it ? no rain, just constant unending heat and humidity .. yuck ! This morning (Sunday) seems cooler though .. phew !

Thanks Kiki girl ! Happy SSS to you too girl : )

NAP ! isn't that a hoot when you think of how crazy it is to be in the opposite side of seasons .. I can never wrap my head around you guys celebrating Christmas at the beach ? LOL

Cindee girl you are driving me totally stark raving MAD with thos amazing bargains you are getting .. I would go nuts !! they have cleared out the huge brick yard that is to be Lowes lot now .. husband and I can NOT wait .. it is supposed to be done by October but no building has started yet .. I am so excited it is silly .. and YES girl !!! for goodness sake get a picture up so I can see those amazing bargains you got ! I am dead jealous !! but happy for you at the same time .. I know you work darn hard ;-)

Tracy girl thank you : )if I could ship you some of this heat/humidity you would be getting it pronto ! This type of weather in May is extreme and no one let alone the garden plants are prepared to deal with it ! Especially cranky, foul mood, achy, middle aged women going through menopause ? hahahaha .. and move over girl , I am a top flight complainer and I can leave you in the dust with it ! LOL

Why thank you very much jabblog ! The birds do seem to love it .. our Robinator battles with other robins to keep this, his? territory ! : )
