Spooky Monday

Well ... I am drifting in and out of my Halloween moods .. more out than in .. I just don't know what is going on .. maybe because I lost my garden connection way too fast when I did the BIG OOPS with my back and knee .. maybe losing that put a dent in my inner Halloween machine?
None the less I struggle to inspire a Halloween mood to whom? ever glances at this post!
Thus scary BIG pumpkin devouring wee pumpkin .... eeekkkkk!!
A scary group of dark hearted pumpkins adding a few spider souls to the bunch!
How cool are these black and white designed pumpkins! .. again with the bugs?
OK .. believe it or not the following 4 pictures were of the sun about 10-1030 in the morning a few days ago .. odd right? .. but perfectly scary for this post too!

This was what my camera "saw" and I let it run with this aspect be cause again .. it is perfect for a Scary Monday post;-)

I had to sneak in this picture of the sweet potato vine STILL pumping out a flower or two for me! .. I can't get over that: )
Now for Pudder's scary moments .. the deck vines are getting bolder and bolder ... creeping ever so near .. closer and closer?
In fact ... tapping a certain gnome's BACK !!!! eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk!!!!
Some moments with my odd gourd crew in the morning sun ....
See how the "eyes" follow you??
Yes .. one of my own pumpkins deserves some lime light too!
... and then there is the odd gourd ?inspector Ms. Sophie ....
... finally my own little light box emanates Halloween mood for me to end this post with;-)
It will soon be time for some serious Halloween decorating! and that is another eeekkk for me!

Joy, great Halloween stuff! Those carved and decorated pumpkins are great. I have that Bronze sweet potato vine and it is crawling all over my patio. I want to take it out before the first frost because it gets very icky when hit.

Oooohhhhhh....a woman after my own heart! I simply came for a quick visit--and spent a chunk of time scrolling down, joyfully 'ooohhh-ing and ahhhh-ing' the crossing of paths with another Halloween obsessed person. *laughing*

I'm not the only one who counts down year round for Halloween! YEAH!!!!!!
:-)

The cannibalistic Jack-O-Lantern is very cool! I don't think my wife would let me do that to our pumpkins this year though...

Dear Dave
I can understand your wife not being too keen on this scenario .. more the for grown ups that need to be reminded of what scared them as kids?LOL .. I think you know what I mean?
;-)

Ms S I found these from the net and it truly does give you ideas for some really fun decorations ! : )

What a nice lot of pumpkins! I have never seen the white ones. Is that a regular sweet potato vine?

Love that first photo, Joy; there's no limit to how much fun you can have at Halloween. And those sky photos? Pretty eerie... It looks like ghosts are floating around up there! Don't you just love this time of year?

Better tell your gnome to watch his back...vines can be pretty bad. They'll wrap him up one night and he'll disappear...eeeek...

Sophie is so cute; she reminds me of my own two furry kids; they HAVE to see and smell EVERYTHING.

Hi Sandy .. yes it is as regular as it can be ? LOL .. I just picked it up at the garden center but I have never had one flower before so that was a shocker ! The white pumpkins are fabulous aren't they ? and they come in the little sized ones too .. I have to pick some up soon .. I only have one pumpkin on my step right now!

Hi Martha girl and it is amazing what can be done with a few good pumpkins ? haha .. Yup .. Pudder has to check his back every day .. I have to put him away soon .. and do the close down routine for the garden. Waiting for better weather though .. YES ! our little furry creatures are interesting in everything !!! haha

Hey the Chamomilla : ) Thank you ! I am happy to bring on the Halloween mood train any time girl! hehehe

Joy - you are a mad woman! And I mean that in the very best way. What a fun post. Can hear the brains of that little pumpkin being chewed as I type....... And, I'm completely jealous, I've never had any of my potato vines ever bloom - quite pretty isn't it!

That first pumpkin eating a smaller pumpkin is priceless. Sometimes simple design is best! I love the creepy clouds. It seems the sky gets more dramatic in fall.

LOLOLOL .. crunch squish crunch euuww! haha .. Hey I have NEVER had a sweet potato vine flower before like this .. I was totally blown away .. keep trying them every season .. it has to happen for you some year girl!

Jennifer, thanks girl .. I just read your post on the glads & funeral connection .. eeekk! LOL
I love the sky in Autumn .. the lighting does seem so special .. long and lingering yet being pushed about by the clouds .. it has such character ! : )
