Imitation of the Northern Lights ?

This is a post on the run so please forgive the absent mind that should be here when I let loose like this ?
First .. some one was asking me about the cameras I use .. I just acquired aka SPOILED myself with yet another pre-post birthday gift for myself (I have been so naughty this birthday!!)
In any case .. down to facts.
This is the tiny Casio EX-H10 .. small than a wallet and my battery charger for my Olympus .. it has a lot of different shooting modes as well .. Autumn Leaves is my favorite right now!
No eye viewer which takes some getting used to because I have to make sure I have glasses on to watch this screen .. but it is nice and large!
I would recommend it as a purse camera for those times you wish you had one ? camera that is .. no woman goes without a purse !! eeekkkk !!
This is my big baby .. I love Olympus .. I have gone through 3 of them now .. this is the
SP 59OUZ .. 26 x optical zoom .. I would hate to change lenses .. I am lazy and want to grab the pictures on the fly!
Now for the Northern Lights bit ... yes .. imitation and I took these while Casio was still in Autumn Leaves mode .. so it picked the colour up in a BIG way !

These sessions literally last only minutes .. and a lot of times it is pure luck that I see them and grab a camera to catch what I can.
The pattern makes me want to say PINK lightening and Northern Lights all at the same time!
Like I said minutes !! .. I grabbed my Olympus just in time to get the last glow .. but it was totally amazing to SEE .. I never never get tired of watching the sky!
A few snaps of my trees changing in the back garden .. the Pacific Sunset Maple hasn't changed yet .. when it does .. LOOK OUT ! it is stunning
I love the glow of sunlight through the leaves : )
... and that is it folks !
I am sadly lacking in my Halloween mode .. but I will be working on that .. even as I speak I am basking in the warm glow of all of my ORANGE Halloween lights on here in the kitchen : )

Joy, I love those pictures of the sky, we don't see anything like that here. You have more fall color than we do right now. I had better get out in the neighborhood and track down some color.

That is just soooo beautiful, Joy! I think I would've been too awe-struck to reach for a camera. Lucky you!

Hello Eileen girl !
It is amazing what I see here and I am so thankful to have a clear space and see what I see here in our own little Twilight Zone in Kingston !LOL
Put some colour in your life woman! LOL ;-)

Hello Sunita girl : ) Yes .. those moments are so dramatic and fleeting they literally are gone in minutes .. I'm an early riser so I have been lucky enough to see some awesome skies here : )

Your Northern Lights are gorgeous, Joy! Amazing how well the Casio does in capturing the color of the sky.

I just read your last post and can see why someone asked about your camera--beautiful, beautiful fall colors! Enjoy the rest of autumn!

Lucky lucky you. Great Birthday.

Hello Rose girl !
I hope everyone is getting that bit about "imitation northern lights" ? It is really the rays of the rising sun caught at odd thin angles with the cloud cover ;-) .. Yes the dedicated setting for Autumn leaves really picks up the colour and runs with it on the Casio ! LOL

Thank you "Beyond" : )

Joy, I love your new camera; pocket-sized and cute as a button! Slips easily into a purse or pocket. Very handy. I told you I bought one similar to it recently. Well, I'm working in the opposite direction of you. Now that I got my small camera, I'm saving up for the larger, more powerful one. Eventually I may get there. Enjoy your new camera; you deserve to spoil yourself.

Your sky photos are just lovely. I'm up very early every day and get to enjoy the same sky as you. But I'm not as brave to go outside! I should push myself out the door.

Thanks Martha girl and isn't that too funny ? I probably should have worked in that direction too .. building up to a more powerful one ... what a minute .. I think that is what I did and then flew backwards for the mini me camera ! haha
Martha your view must be a beautiful one too and so you have to be brave girl .. get out there in your flaming pajamas and take pictures !! LOL
