Shadow Shot Time

I am reaching back a little to find a "shadow shot" that I like and this one screamed "use me PLEASE!" .. so of course I listen to my photos and what they have to say to me : )
These are one of my favourite annuals Purslane ? I think it is called along with the stalwart Hens'Chicks filling in the gaps ... and I love pea gravel .. must be the kid in me ?
What you have to do now is visit Tracy's meme on her blog Hey Harriet and see all the wonderful Shadow Shooters treasures they share from all over the world. Well worth the "clicks" to get there!

I don't usually use this meme but I accidently got a shadow of a butterfly the other day. I think I will try it. I like your shadows here.

Gravel has its uses, and it has its uses in your garden. The drainage is improved and weeds aren't fond of it. Actually, the gravel is lovely as the light and shadows play well with it, Not to take away from the flora, this is a wonderful shot. Happily, you heard the cries of the photo!

It looked like portulaca to me, so I googled it, and found out purslane and portulaca are the same thing. LOL
And the hen and chicks look so exotic but grow just about anywhere. I think they're wonderful.
That said, I know why that picture called to you. It is absolutely lovely with all those delicate shadows.

I always have to come back because Blotanical does not let in comments for your posts. I like the planting and think it is so pretty. The shadows are nice, but really that planting is stunning and is what caught my eye.

Hello Lisa girl !
I think you will enjoy this meme .. I am NOT one for memes but I really enjoy this one because it wakes your brain up with new ways of looking at things .. you see many more shadows that you used to!
It is addictive ;-)

Dear Ralph
You are always so sweet to me .. thank you : ) I also love the crunch the pea gravel has when walking on it .. my little section here needs a few more bags to top it up with .. I am just a big kid over it all !

Hello Sylvia girl and I had such a great laugh over your new header picture .. your friend has a wonderful imagination : )

Thank you chubskulit : )

Kay those pictures from that little Russian town were awesome !
Actually Purslane is an offshoot of portulaca it is a thicker limbed plant that holds up even better than portulaca .. I am a fan of it for sure now ! LOL

Donna girl your pictures were amazing .. everyone of them postcard worthy for sure. thank you so much : ) this grouping has been my favourite too so I have to make notes to remind myself next year !!

Bev girl we had frost on the roofs two mornings in a row and wonderful cool dry days .. this is the weather I dream of ? LOL

Tatjana thank you very much : )
