October's garden wee gifts to me ?

This was an amazing pale purple ? violet ? morning a few days ago ..
There was a thick long fog/cloud bank at the bottom, blocking the sun for a while ..
When the sun did come out it was almost too bright for us "mole people" after so much cloud and rain.
I spotted Morden Sunrise by pure luck  .. it was hiding on the other side of the garden ! naughty rose !
Little rain drops refused to fall or evaporate just yet !
I saw a hit of colour with one of my first spireas .. I played with the "fuzzy factor" to highlight the colour : ) so you aren't out of focus .. it is me ! wink wink
Another surprise colour was my pineapple sage .. it finally bloomed even after all of the ugly weather that ambushed it .. that hit of red really draws you eyes in .. then the subtle orange of the miscanthis "Purple Flame" grass .. is ready to be admired as well.
Speaking of "purple"
Then that glistening white ...
I am totally in love with flowering kale now .. I will have to have it every year !
Then my other Morden Sunrise demanded attention !
Now how much more can you ask of a rose near the very end of October ?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh incredible colors...incredible shares. Wow. Absolutely stunning. AND I must add I LOVE your Halloween Art post too. FANGtastic.

In regards to you not being able to post a comment thru your google account. I had the same problem a while back. Someone suggested to me to get and install the free software "CCleaner". I did, and then went out through the installed program [little memory use] and cleaned out my cache and cookies through that program. Rebooted, signed in...and I could then use my Google account to leave comments with no problem.

I now clean out my stuff each and every time I log out of my browser. It works like a charm. With little effort.

Thanks for popping by yesterday for my Shadow Shot. Today's post is:

Macro Halloween Candle Holder...Eerie!!

Hello there C&C
Yes ! You have to have purple kale to set them both off nicely : )
Loved all of your worldly shots!

Anni girl .. that candle holder was totally gruesome!!! LOL
I'll have to look into that cleaner .. my computer is a new one and not too much junk built up in it .. yet ? but yes .. we all have to keep an eye out for crap causing problems ? LOL
Thanks for the heads up girl !

Karen girl I am a fan of your forest floor "life" pictures .. that toadstool is perfect and I expected to see some fairies and gnomes (smaller than my guys) dancing around it ;-)
Brings back how much I loved playing in the woods as a kid .. thanks girl : )

Hi Joy Sweetie, I love your Kale too. It looks like crinkly roses. It's great that you've still got a few roses showing off for you. So did you watch the show today? Please do tell! Hope you're feeling better. ONE WEEK FROM TODAY. There's still time to decorate!

isn't it funny how that spirea will just change a single stem like that? I noticed the same thing this weekend. All green shrub with one red arm sticking out saying 'hey look at me'

Gracey girl I think I might have sent you an e-mail or told you what I knew about Y&R in your comment section .. I am avoiding it a bit because it drives me crazy ? .. the show, not you girl!LOL .. YES !! exactly ! they look like crinkly roses : ) I love them : ) .. ah ... I have no Halloween spirit .. BIG sigh ;-(

Thank you so much Robin girl .. I shot off a quick e-mail your way. You have a huge following so I know you are busy trying to keep up with it all .. especially this time of year . I am usually a lot more Halloweeny but this year is kind of .. sucky.. the Great Pumpkin will not visit me this year .. so I will wait it out with Linus for next year? wink wink

Marguerite girl it is too funny how that happens eh ? just that one hit and a haller as to LOOK at me is right .. huge ego for a tiny bit of leaf ? haha

Seeing as how it's nearly Halloween...

This is probably a good time to 'fess up to some murderous activity on my part. Yup. You recommended those Morden Sunrise roses. I bought them and then... I tortured those poor things until they could stand no more. My partner in crime was the freaky weather. Winter kill got the last of 'em. - Serial Killer Kate

Kate girl I just left a long comment on your last post as to how damn naughty you are for messin' with my mind (lord knows there isn't much of my mind left to mess with either !!)
I just know you are up to Halloween tricks when you think you can convince me that you are a SK of roses .. I will not believe it girl .. nope .. nah .. NOT !
But I'm telling the Great Pumpkin that you have been a very naughty friend that has tried to trick me for Halloween !!! LOL

My pineapple sage never did bloom, and since the point was to attract hummingbirds, I give up on them in the future. Your flowering kale is gorgeous!
