Shadow Shot Time

I couldn't resist taking pictures of my last rose of the season, in different degrees of "freshness".
I totally forgot to take pictures of it as a tightly closed bud.
This is a time lapse of almost a week .. Orange Velvet is a climbing rose and a beauty .. it's shadow is as remarkable as the rose itself : )
Tracy over at Hey Harriet has many of us shadow shooters showing off the shadows we have captured so make sure to have a peek !
There are awesome shadows flaunting themselves for us to admire : )

The flower is a bold red, the shape perfect. It may be in a glass of water and not in a plant in the soil. That matters not, you handiwork is all there - the perfect red rose in a any stage!

Darla girl those frost shots were .. hum .. COOL !!! hehehe
Seriously very interesting for you especially since it isn't a common thing to happen .. will you lose a lot of plants ? is there actual damage to them ? Hope they stay strong and stick their tongue out at the frost .. not on a metal pole though ! wink wink

My goodness Linda hello there girl!
I loved that rose you posted on .. almost my favourite colour (I am a white rose kind of gal .. but yours was so pretty !) I use the final petals of this rose of a little potpourri ? I try to hang on to them as long as possible : )

Lona girl I was going to say "coming from the Queen of Roses, that you are) .. that is a great compliment! Thank you girl: ) I am always amazed by your roses !

Dear Ralph
You are so sweet ! Thank you : )
I will miss my own roses terribly but think of what next year will bring hopefully : )
Your vintage photo shadows were so cute to see .. but YOU were missing! wink wink

Sylvia again I am amazed with your friend's header picture for each week .. what a creative mind !
Your coloured glass is so pretty .. you have just the right light for them all .. that golden time is gorgeous : )

LOL !! Marguerite girl .. you are the only one so far to mention that .. yes it is .. one of many from when we lived in the Netherlands .. how could we not collect some ? it just suits what I am looking for in to the of the moment ? hehehehe

Ms S girl : ) How true is that ? they are the ones you want to last forever during those cold dark winter days and nights .. I save what I can for potpourri and enjoy them as much as possible !

Hello there girls : )
And wow ! You nailed that extra shadow on the head ! Well done you : ) .. I have to be on my toes when you take a look at my shadows ? LOL

Thank you so much Ann : ) and thank you for dropping by .. I was enchanted by your beautiful pictures of your treasures and yes : ) had a laugh at what we all wish we could be incorporating our long thin shadows ? LOL

the last rose of summer. I'm glad you did get a series of photos, they're beautiful. and bittersweet, being the end of a season, but it will bloom again next summer. and knowing that gets us through the winter months! happy day to you.

It definitely is a lovely rose. Mine were finished blooming weeks ago, making seeing yours a wonderful sight for late autumn.
