The sun as the moon ?

There was an amazing moon a week or so ago .. my night shots of the moon usually suck big time , but I think I captured a bit of it's essence with that glorious soft yellow glow it had.
The next day .. I think the sun had been jealous of the moon and it pretended it was the moon with these morning shots I took.
Yes .. this really is the sun .. and look how round it is !
There was just the right amount of cloud to show it off .. then cloud cover played with it a bit longer.
Now how strange is it to take a picture of the sun looking "moonish" ?

Great shots Joy. I love to see the sun flirting with the moon.

Amazing shots Joy. It has been rather dull this week so I wasn't able to get any moon photos at all. And I've got to say I've been missing the sunrise as I've been sleeping in. Finally getting that really early morning rising out of my internal clock, being retired for the past few months has helped me do that. ;)

Great shots Joy,
We probably have too much pollution around here to get sharp shots like this.

Very nice captures here and you still have your eye sight after photographing the sun!

Really great shots - I also find the moon a tough subject. They certainly seem to have switched roles :)

I saw that moon too(-: So pretty! Love your pictures. I was unable to get any good ones.
I got the dreaded flu/bronchitis. Right in the middle of my projects. I actually am almost finished with one but I wanted to be all finished. Oh well. Hopefully feel better in a few more days and then I can get back to working.
Daughter is getting married on the 29th. So have a few things left to do for her little "reception" family gathering thing. (-: Have a great weekend!

Hello Lisa girl and thank you !
The two of them have been a bit unusual lately .. I grab the camera and hope for the best ? LOL

Linda girl .. I will always be an early riser (and a nap taker due to that ? LOL) .. this weather is still not right .. we never actually had winter ... yet ?

Eileen girl I loved seeing all of those different petunias .. I hope they bring some to the garden centers here !

Darla girl yes I still have my eye balls thanks ! Are you still going to have knees after all of those bulbs are planted ?? LOL

Hello Karen girl ... that reflection shot with the gull was beautiful !

Yes Jane the moon can really be annoying when you can't get good pictures .. well defined and not fuzzy seem to be the ones I can't get lately ! I loved the post on the pig mask and the spell ! LOL

Oh my gosh Cindee it sounds like you are running yourself into the ground girl .. you need rest and TLC ! with that wedding coming up that is stressful too .. hope it all goes smoothly and well girl !

Ms,S girl how are you ! this has been a very strange winter hasn't it ? Hope the Spring is nice to us and not crazy like winter ? LOL
Yes .. those were a very odd yet matching night to next day indeed!

Jen girl every time I see those doves I remember taking the picture and how sorry I felt for them .. one lone guy/gal comes back to roost on one of the drift wood pieces a lot. The sun rarely appears in just enough cloud cover to catch it this way, so that was a treat .. and that moon was a looker ! How are those periwinkle walls coming ?

Hello there friend from Denmark !
Thank you for stopping by with your comments : ) I enjoyed your pictures of the sunrise with those wonderful trees !
