Shadow Shot Time !

These shadows are dark and subtle something we need here with the record temperatures and no rain for actual months now.
Little Lamb hydrangea has tried it's best to keep going .. but plants and gardens all over south eastern Ontario are very stressed as are we gardeners.
The relief of enjoying shadows is like a balm to our weary garden souls ..
So if you have been stressed with unreasonable weather ? click on the Shadow Shot icon and drift into a world of shadows to cool down and enjoy those views !

From looking at this photo with its deep shadows, I would never know that you were in the midst of a severe drought. May the rains come soon!

Meaning in Shadows

It has not been too hot too often in our town near New Haven CT - cool and rainy after the front arrived yesterday, about 27°C today and a slight northerly breeze - further west, such as in Kingston to Detroit it seem much hotter. Here's to rain in your garden, the sooner the better!

oh sweet cg-joy...your comments always make my heart swell. with threat of rain all day...alas we have had none. mowed the lawn today...which is pathetic except for the weeds. at least it has been cooler this week. wishing for you, rain. love your shadow shot, however thirsty she may be. have a great weekend and week ahead.

I've been stressed with the continuous rain. Today we had a little sun and now it's raining again.

Have a nice weekend!

I understand perfectly what you are saying about the heat. In Texas it is terrible. We had 106 today and no rain in sight.

I love hydrangea! I don't have any, though. They sell a blue one called "Endless Summer" that I would love to plant.

Sorry you have not had enough rain there. Not good for gardens.

Thanks for visiting me!

These hydrangea flowers are so soft, delicate and pretty! A wonderful contrast with the dark depths of the bokeh!

Very soft and dainty!

Any advise and tips you could give to my shadow shot entry would be so much appreciated. Have a blessed Sunday.

MMT thank you for your rainy wishes .. we truly need them here !

Dear Ralph .. clink of glasses for the rains to come soon, it would be such a relief ! Thanks : )

Sylvia thank you very much and I enjoyed your different shadow shots as well as the quotes !

CC girl I have to get over to your place yet and I will do my best to send you this HOT weather !

Thank you Nadezda girl .. I only wish the rainy weekend would actually happen : )

Hey there Robin girl : ) Thank you!
Hubby has stopped mowing the lawn for some time now .. no point, it is brown and crunchy ! LOL

Lisa girl I do find a bit of refuge in shadow shots like this .. almost seems cool and quiet.

Satu if I could trade weather with you I would certainly do that .. here is to wishing it would be exchanged !

LV .. I don't know how you can manage that temperature .. ours is bad enough with the humidex .. but that ? my brain would boil ! LOL

Patti you have to have at least one hydrangea and I have heard nothing but great reviews on endless summer .. that is one I don't actually have though funny enough !

Thank you Gemma : ) at least looking at pictures like these gives me the sense of relief for the garden (even if it isn't quite true at the moment ? LOL)

Thank you Rose .. I am coming over to see your shadow shot right now !

Love your flowery shadow!
The little bit of rain we got sure didn't do much for our lawns. If my hubby didn't water the gardens every night we probably wouldn't have any flowers or vegetables.
Crazy weather that's for sure.

Hi Bev girl .. still smiling over your baby dove ! Yes, if the boys didn't water for me .. my gardens would be lost. I hate this weather !

Missed you lately....sorry life and all that.

It's been unbearably hot around here, and then the thundershower that knocked everything down happened. But the good thing is it's water, it rained.

Hope that you get some soon.

We've been lucky to get a few afternoon showers lately. Well, at least two days of them. That's better than nothing! I love your garden. I am especially studying the way you get color in shade using Heuchera. I bought one this year, I think it's Caramel. I would love to find some of the ones you have. One of the pictures I found on your blog is amazing, it's so much color but no flowers! A real inspiration!

Thank you so much Leslie !
I really enjoyed your post of the lake adventure .. swimming in the deep end is thrilling and scary at the same time but that is what makes it feel like we are kids again : )
Beautiful pictures of the lake too!
