Shadow Shot & A VERY Happy New Year Wish !

You can't see the sparkles the way I saw them yesterday on the snow .. like a million little diamonds smiling!
There are subtle shadows here .. soft and yielding as the sun moves in and out of the clouds.
The soft blanket of snow tucks in my plants as Winthrop the gargoyle on the railing stands guard all year round.
Snow is falling again today .. it is becoming what it should be here .. the Great White North : )
Click on the icon to visit many other different shadows from many other parts of the world .. some are not covered in white as we are .. especially the 'down under' folks of Australia : )
Finally ... A VERY Happy New Year to all my blogging friends .. the best wishes possible for 2013 !

Happily for your Spring garden, the winter snows (practically unknown last year) leaves a nice blanket to melt slowly and feed the roots awaiting the warmer sun in April. For someone who so lovingly tend to her plants, nature is working with you this year for that beautiful flora a few months hence...Happy New Year!

How beautiful your snow looks. I love the snow shadow shots! I'm hoping we'll be lucky and get one or two snow days this year. I just don't want them to come until I get back to work:)So any time after next Wednesday will be good! You can send some my way!

I love the snow sparkle, and yes it's hard to capture.

Glad to hear that you finally caught up with us...we have another fresh 4 inches.

Poor Winthrop looks rather chilly out on his post. We too finally are getting our share of white. We had a smidgeon the other day (that mostly turned to mush) but tomorrow is another day and another storm. Time to stay in and stay warm. Happy new years wishes to you!
