Shadow Shot Time

Yes ... once again I am "shooting" shadows in my back garden ... it is going to be a long winter and I know I have to find another subject matter at some time ... BIG sigh !
For now ... this is it ! .. click on the Shadow Shot icon to see a variety of shadows other "shooters" have found around the world : )

Beautiful wintery-shadow shot, my friend! I guess this means winter has officially arrived in your neck of the woods. Stay warm and cozy! Happy 2013.

Looks like everything is fully buried now. It hasn't stopped snowing here since last week I think (I've lost count at this point). Each day brings a new snow fall and we're quickly getting buried deeper and deeper.

Oh my goodness, Joy! It looks so very, very cold! I am always amazed at how beautiful Canadian gardens (and our Northern gardens) are, when considering how they spent all winter buried and frozen. I think the cold and snow must give you something special! Plus all your bugs get killed! I still look at your gardens when I'm planning my own for next year. I did buy a Heuchera this summer. I hope it will survive and come back strong. How much shade do you have yours in? Mine is in the shadiest part of my garden. I like your new header. YOu have so many wonderful plant combinations, I could stare at it and take notes forever!!

The southerly sun illumines the GWN very nicely - I almost see the railing and its shadows almost like prison bars that overpower your garden. Yet the impending spring will arrive fairly shortly, and the garden plants will escape their winter jail. Nice snowy shadows!

It's hard to find a variety of outside shots in the winter, isn't it... today I went out and shot some pictures because it turned out to be a beautiful day, but sometimes I wonder if I am getting something different or not! The key is we should all look at things from a different perspective even if it seems we are looking at the same thing... there are always small changes, one just has to look... and there is beauty everywhere! Cheers!

Oh, but each season has its distinct treasures of beauty. {though I am sure its a stretch of the imagination come the end of winter in Cananda}. By the looks of it here in upstate NY its gonna be cold, snowy, and long too.
I love the blue slantey shadows.
Cheers,
Leah

Those are truly awesome landscapes! Very dramatic even when cold. I have not experienced snow in natural settings, but let me show you warmth through my tropical colors while you are in deep winter! Happy New Year!

I find snow shots and scenes so beautiful, not having them here in the tropical country of ours. These are wonderful shots.
