Shadow Shot Time
First a hit of early summer colour to keep us afloat with hope of Spring coming SOON !
Morden Sunrise is a gorgeous shrub rose that creates so many different looks to its own flowers it is amazing!
There are loads of shadows in all the nooks and crannies where the light hits just right : )
Back in the real world ... I fell for these shadows of my garden stakes .. they mimic the delicate lines that my Crimson Queen Japanese Maple has with it's delicate arms spread out on the sparkling snow.

Nice photos ! Oh I am so looking forward to spring done with winter now ! Have a good weekend !
Joy, this is quite a mysterious looking shadow shot. I love the descriptive phrase "Crimson Queen Japanese Maple has with its delicate arms spread out on the sparkling snow." Very poetic sounding!
Our Valentine's Day was fairly nondescript, I am sorry to say. After a long day, we were both exhausted. In the evening and it was dinner in front of the television for us. Still there is love and comfort in that simple evening routine. Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day!
Oh, Summer roses seem like a another world away right now.
I love the winter shadows against the frosting deck rail.
Cheers,
Leah
Your descriptions are great. I too can't wait to see roses in bloom.
Ah, Spring...after the 35 of snow last week, it cannot arrive soon enough! The peachy pastel rose petals remind us of the warmer and more garden friendly weather that will be here soon...at least snow and sun leave shadows of art on the cold ground :)
huh...i will take the first picture every time over the cold and snow!! nice shots joy!!! stay warm!!
I love your shadow shots for the day! Such a beautiful, colorful flower and I love the snowy shot -- but of course, I'm not having to deal with a snowy winter!!! Have a great weekend!
Beautiful snow shots for SSS2 ~ Wow! ^_^
Oh I love your header...and that reminds me I need to update mine...again.
I love your roses, just not sure that I am up to all the work they require.

Both shots are great, but the first one hit the best part. Orange is the colour of Spring and this is a fave.
Hope you had a great VD and enjoy the rest of the w/end.
Happy SSS,

I like the shadows of your stakes too :) we'll take what we can get this time of year right?
Hello all you lovely bloggers !
I have popped in to all of your blogs to say hello and thank you for visiting mine : )
Spring will eventually arrive fingers crossed ? !!
While the snowy shadow shot makes me shiver, it's my favourite!
Shadowy Bell
What a contrast in shadows! Love the flower - simply gorgeous!
Interesting shadows in the snow!
I just found your blog today. WOW, I am preparing to post two sets of shadows I took today and recently. Great minds think alike! they will be on my blog this week. Hope you get to view them. Shadows say way more about the moment. Here on the shores of Lake Michigan the shadows from plants or stones is great. See you soon again. Jack
Although I really do love SNOW and Winter, I'll admit that I'm hoping the tweeting birds know Spring is not far off!...:)JP
I love the way you catch the frosty sparkles!
Makes me think of The Loin, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.
I see what you mean Cat ! I pictured that sparkly snow from the book now too! LOL
I'm trolling the blogs looking for colour. Thank you for such a pretty rose and such a delightful colour. Did you get that 2cm of snow (that turned out to be closer to 13cm) on Saturday? Am going to Success with Gardening on Thursday at the International Centre - am so looking forward to seeing green stuff.
B.
Love the garden blooms!
Catching up with Shadow Shot Sunday.
