Garden Mission Accomplished ... groan !

I have gone on and on about how I have to get Golden Spirit Smoke Bush planted where the old Stag Horn Sumac was .. it seemed like a hysterical monkey on my back .. you know how garden missions can drive you crazy right ? I'm not the only one ... right ? .. sound of pin dropping ?
Do you see the BIG hole and the mess the stumper made in the area ? .. well it could always be worse right .. like the weight of that machine making an impression on a few patio bricks, but we won't go there.
The job was done as well as could be expected .. and the garden is in chaos anyways , so what the heck.

These pictures are not the best .. cloudy day when I worked myself into the ground literally .. but you can see my darling little tree in place now .. fingers crossed it will be happy and beautiful in it's new home !
A lot of tidy work has to go on yet ... so much to do and this poor aching body is still driven to make what I can see in my mind's eye down the road look gorgeous !

I repositioned the poor plants that had been shifted in and out so many times ..
I so hope they will "take" once more for me .. I can hardly blame them if they don't ?
I am really concerned about the brunnera area .. it was so pretty.
I have Jack, King's Ransom, and Silver Lining there along with a few other special plants there.
The area has been so trampled on .. I just don't know what is going to happen ...
Fingers crossed,  as we do so many times when we finish a mission .. did I say finish ?
HYSTERICAL LAUGHING ? eeekkkkk !

LOL! Girl you know we never get these gardens finished. We are always moving, making them bigger or making new spots to grow things. Glad to hear you got your tree planted. Now take care of that aching body. I feel your pain. :)

What a great shrub Joy, I had no idea it would be so big. That's great though, it will fill in so quickly. and I'm sure the perennials will be just fine. Your garden will be a riot of colour again very soon.

Marguerite girl hello there!
I can turn most shrubs into trees with patience .. but yes.. smoke bush is an easy one to train .. I have Royal Purple as a tree too and it is a beauty. Fingers crossed the garden will cooperate ! haha

Half the fun of gardening is switching plants around and peeking every day to see if things are growing... I know it will turn out fantastic with your expertise! Cheers~

Hi Joy, I always find that there are a few bigger jobs that I must tackle each spring. For me it is moving several well established spirea. I don't want to kill them when I move them!
I bet it feels great to get your Golden Spirit Smoke Bush sorted. It is early in the season and so hopefully everything in the disturbed area will recover.
P.S. Great header BTW!

It's never really finished, is it? But, then again, that's half the fun!

Heather girl thank you so much and you are so right!! it is fun to rearrange the garden by us or some times by the garden itself eh ? LOL

Robin girl hello there ! So far so good .. fingers crossed ;-) I really love it to bits!

Thank you so much Jennifer girl .. yes moving my baby helped me settle down a bit and YES !! I know what you mean about moving well established shrubs .. I nearly did myself in with a burning bush .. so did husband .. it was old and past its time but it was NOT going without a fight ! LOL

Shirley you are very right .. what garden or gardener thinks their garden is done ? but ? I would love a period of relaxation to just putter .. hopefully that will come later on ? LOL

You crack me up Joy girl. I can't tell you how many times I've moved some of my plants. It's crazy. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't.

The biggest surprise for me is the Daphne 'Summer Ice' I moved in April. I had to cut it back completely and I was pretty sure it was a gonner. But would you believe it has little leaf buds all over it? Shocker!

Okay so write me and tell me the latest okay? I'll try to write you too.
