Misery in the Rain

I have yet to publish the kind comments from my previous post .. thank you to those fellow bloggers that stopped by  : ) I appreciate it !
I just wanted to illustrate how soggy and miserable we are with this cold rainy weather we have been stuck in for a while .. there is in fact a possibility of snow on Monday ... BIG sigh.
For now we feed the birds to help them along .. this poor Mourning Dove caught my attention as he/she perched on the rose arbor in the rain .. we felt so sorry for the poor drenched thing.

I won't have any decent pictures of our beautiful little Serviceberry because the rain has ruined the blooms ... what a start to the garden season ?

So far this has been the craziest year weather wise. It is topsy turvy. It is difficult to get your mind into gardening when it is so back and forth with unseasonable weathers. We must hang in there. It will get better.

Dear Joy,
I hope you're better, gardening in rain as real gardener. Your plants wintered well and now will be soon in blossom.
Have a nice Sunday!

Awww, the poor thing! Our robins arrived two weeks ago to never ending snow and sleet. I eventually found out there was such a thing as *insect suet* so I picked some up. Dear hubs was kind enough to cut it up for me (yes, gross!) and we put it out on paper plates. Now this week it shot up to 29c and my garden is a mess!

Looks like the sun may be here to stay. Just think of all the work to be done now after all this rain. Just think about the beauty you have always had surrounding you in your incredible gardens. Hug B

Even though my photos might show otherwise, we've had nearly the same weather here, rain, rain, and more rain! The lawn is growing like mad, poor hubby can barely keep up between rains.

Sherry girl how are you !we actually have snow today ... this is crazy for our side of Ontario .. OMG that is so good of you guys to go to those lengths of insect suet .. I would be grossed out too but that is what husbands are for right ? LOL
The garden will be fine : )

Grace girl I wonder if you are getting the snow we are this morning ?
The "girls" must be annoyed with such crazy weather still.
I can't remember when we had our last REAL sunny day actually .. but it has to come back .. some time .. eventually ? LOL

Robin girl ... I bet you aren't having snow right now ? LOL ... this is insane for our part of Ontario .. we should be having sunny warm weather .. but what we should have and what we have are always going to be different ... I am trying to hang in here .. but jeez ! LOL

oh sweetie - let's hit the sunny high seas and get some pirate action in, hahaha. Your photos are lovely and so are you, let that be enough. Massive hugs from Ireland xxx

Hope things have improved for you by now, Joy! We had torrential rain storms about the same time you wrote this, and then the cold returned. We didn't get any frost after all, but the warning made me hold off planting anything. Now that I can finally get busy planting, it's turned hot, hot as well as dry. You just can't win!

Oh Joy -- what a goofy year so far. When my spirit was willing, the weather laughed at me. Lots of really interesting fungal diseases. And on the good side, I've never seen the blooming bushes so full of blossoms. I swear if we live long enough, we'll almost see it all. May the sun come up and stay up long enough for you to get out and have some fun in your garden.
Your fellow soaked Ontario gardener. xo
