The "A-H" Late Summer Moments

I'd like to dedicate this post to Garden Blogger's Bloom Day (I am a newbie to this so please forgive my rough edges on how I approach it ? )

I wish I could shoot a continuous, sweeping, video so I could have the back, sides, and front gardens visible from all aspects in one smooth movement.

BUT .. some how I am not a techy person even though I love my digital camera and posting on here .. The rest is all another level of language I have to keep chipping away at until I can gleam a little more understanding of .. for now these are something resembling my pattern of paths and gardens at this moment in time.

I'm so glad to have some of my plans work out .. such as the plants "sweeping" the stone path. Lamb's Ears, lavender, ferns, sedum, mini shrubs, they all make it so enjoyable for me !

I love my GIANT grass, especially when it waves in the wind.
My Dogwood shrub path, there are actually two different kinds. Ivory Halo flank the inner larger dogwood shrub, it is a larger , taller cultivar, cornus alba "Elegantissima".  There is a little colony of Banana Boat grass peeking out on that side. Then Inaba Shidare Japanese maple, with Hakone  and Northern Lights grass and a little bit of sedum opposite of them.
The magic of Pink Diamond hydrangea standard is beginning and I am so hoping for the Monarchs to gather there again like they did last year !
The "A" of the post is a shout out to the new anemone  is "Curtain Call Pink"
She plays nice with the pink echinacea sisters, Powow Wild Berry, as well !
I have two of these beauties but of course now I wish I had swept up more.
The "H" is for all the different hydrangea that are coming to life now. This is Berry White already pinking up in time for the Fall call of hydrangea blushing away.
Little Lamb takes a long time to pass through to the pinking stage, but she has beautiful abundant heads that I hope to dry in a vase to keep me company when the snow decides to fly.
This is what Phantom looks like close up .. I have one in the ground, planted from last year, and one in a pot captured for this year. Both of them are going to the side of the house so they can GROW as large as they want and flourish with as many flower heads as possible !
Other plants are coming into their own in time to nourish the pollinators late summer, as with  Joe Pye weed , which can be very pretty in it's own right.
Late blooming Morden Sunrise rose
Even this strange nameless daylily that already bloomed like crazy, is back at it with loads of buds to bloom. I just wish I knew what name this daylily was !
One last look after the sprinklers have done their morning dousing.
Golden Spirit  "bush/tree" not as golden looking as I want at the moment. I have been struggling to find it a sunnier position, but the mission is still on going. It deserves pride of place because I adore smokebush, and the amazing colours that they transition through with the change of seasons.

I just had to sneak in a picture of my Bronze Peacock Rodgersia, because it is finally putting on new growth in that deep, rich colour I had been so looking forward to. Fingers crossed it is finally happy in this space !

Very nice, seeing your garden. I enjoyed, especially, your pink anemone. I've had the white ones for years and they are really starting to take over a bit. I purchased a pink one last year and I'm not even sure it will bloom. Your hydrangea is pretty, too. Best of all? Joe Pye weed, which I don't have the room for but I sure wish I did. Our monarchs have arrived and they are hard at work on the walking trails where I exercise.

Hello Alana and thank you ! I do love my hydrangea ... and the anemone is a treat with it ushering in Autumn bit by bit .. some of them are very tricky though .. I loved Pamina but it would never last more than one season .. fingers crossed this one will survive better !
I try to keep some Joe Pye in the garden for the pollinators .. it can be a bit of a juggle though .. my borders are not huge at all. I am hoping to see lots of Monarchs when my hydrangea standard comes to full bloom .. they we so lovely to see last year.

What a beautiful garden you have, everything looks pristine, how I wish my garden looked like yours. I love the planting around the paths, so soft and flowing. That anemone is stunning as is Berry white.xxx

Hello there Snowbird ;-)
Thank you so much ... I have been neglecting it a bit right now .. just too much going on and I haven't been doing my duty ? LOL Yes I always wanted plants sweeping the edge of the stone to soften it and make it interesting .. I just hope this anemone will make it through the winter here .. Berry ? is certainly a keeper and hardy as all the hydrangea seemed to be.
I'm very lucky to have my garden ;-)

DVartist .. thank you so much ! ... it is always a living work of art in my mind's eye .. constantly changing by way of the weather , seasons, and what little chaos I can manage .. now a days chaos has a bad reputation .. but nature herself utilizes that factor in our continual growth and understand of nature herself ;-)

Hello Jason ... hope you are feeling well ! .. Morden Sunrise has been with me so many years now I can't remember when acquired it .. and it has moved way too many times for it's own good, so I am grateful it doesn't hate me ? LOL
