Pink Toadflax

One of the many surprises I ran across in my garden while doing the big clean up .. was my Toadflax (these are my pictures of it from last year in August). I haven't seen it mentioned on Blotanical yet .. or did I miss a post perhaps. It just might be one of the most understated plants in the garden world ? .. I find it anything but understated in my appreciation of it gracing my garden. Already it has sent out tall shoots seeking sunshine and fresh air. It truly does bloom almost all season until a hard frost knocks it back. The flowers are wonderfully elegant and delicate. I planted this little beauty about four years ago and I am still a hard core fan of it .. hope other gardeners have some tucked away too ?
Paghat's Garden
Has some good information on the little darling as well !

I like the foliage on this plant. And it really pops off the rocks you've spread around it.

I've never heard of this plant unless it goes by another name. But I don't recognize it. Research time!

Very pretty. It's interesting how some plants aren't as well excepted as others. I will keep this one on my list to try some time. It looks wonderful.

I like the plants that bloom all or most of the summer too, more bang for your buck kind of plants!

Cinj .. this is a real keeper for me .. and I stumbled on it quite by accident .. it got my curiosity and I'm glad !

Vanilla .. I don't know why this one seems to be over looked .. maybe just too many new and improved ones on the market ? It is a shame .. I'm glad I have it !

I'm not familiar with this plant... It's very pretty! It looks like there's sun there, but also a lot of shade due to the fence, etc. Does it bloom for a long period of time?

Hi Shady .. I left a comment on your site saying this is a good bloomer all season .. just sheer off the old blooms and it does bloom again and again .. and it is fine for shade too ! It would be great in your garden too !

I did a lot of searching for info on toadflax last October and just couldn't find much. I have blue toadflax which I brought from Maine. It is doing well here. Looking forward to its bloom this summer. I will check out Paghat's garden. I like that source too.
