Filipendula rubra 'Venusta' plus Casa Blanca

Now that "Jack" is back to just foliage .. did I say JUST ? .. no way is he ever "just" .. apple of my eye still .. in the mean time though .. another show is getting ready .. a shy but beautiful meadowsweet is holding up her shoulders ready to display those cloud like flowers in soft pink .. along with Casa Blanca lily .. they look wonderful against my tree like Cotoneaster shrub and ferns. It is hard to believe that shrub was actually a sick TWIG when I planted it about 5 years ago .. it is gorgeous in the Autumn .. red leaves and dark purple berries for the birds .. subtle wow factor there : )

This is such a pretty combination of plants. I like all of the foliage textures and patterns. The flowers are a bonus. You've squeezed a lot of interest into this small vignette.

Northern shade .. this is one of my favorite areas in the garden .. I think I am a true shade gardener when I really have poured my heart into this .. I still have some tweaking to do .. but yes .. I love everything there !

Really lovely combination of plants, texture, foliage, color and flower...can you design my garden?

Hope all is well! We be fine down but fine! It is summer and humid with GIANT mosquitoes and ticks!

Hey Gail ! That does sound like our summer too .. it is coming soon, I'm sure, we just got a lucky break with May .. The giant 'squitos and ticks .. well .. I avoid most of them in my garden ? LOL

The is a beautiful color combination! I love it. I hope our yard looks like that one day.

We already have mosquitoes here. I don't know how they got in the house (dogs maybe?), but we killed over 200 last night and we haven't gotten them all. (We had to count. It was unbelievable!)
