Golden Japanese Forest Grass

I love this serene spot in the back corner .. the drift wood is perfect .. the meditation Buddah and this gorgeous little gold grass "Hakonechloa Macra Aureola" It is the first year I have noticed the feather headed flowers. I'm just amazed it keeps coming back for me .. it must be happy in its home there. I'm glad .. this too makes me smile about my garden.

Yes, that's a beauty. I love plain green hakonechloa and 'All Gold', too. Such a graceful grass!

This is one of my favorite plants, but the last 3 or 4 years I am even more obsessed w/the cultivar of it called 'All Gold.' Wow! Just the gold, no green stripes, and SO powerful in the semi-shade. The local nursery laughs when I keep buying more and more and asks if soon that is all I will have!
