Lemon Verbena .. WOW !

I know .. ho hum ... boring ! ... The plant in the middle .. yup .. the really boring looking one .. well .. GOOD GRIEF !!!! it smells like heaven to me (not that I have smelled heaven .. although if it exists it may smell like this .. to me ? .. if I get there .. if there is one ... and so on and so forth) ...
Lemon Verbena is an extraordinary surprise to me .. like Pineapple Sage was to me last year (it truly smells like pineapple !) .. the fresh lemon smell like old fashioned hard candy is amazing .. what else is out there that I have yet to discover and go bonkers over ? .. for now this plain Jane looking plant is my favorite .. the link is also very surprising with so many uses and recipes.

Lemon verbena and pineapple sage are two of my favorites! There are some other fruit-scented sages I love as well. Mmmmmm.... Anyway, hope you're feeling much better now!!! Put those kitty heating pads to work!

I love the smell of lemons. Here is one you need! I planted Lemon Grass...it fills in and looks like a huge native grass all summer and you can harvest it to cook with...but I just love it to look good.

Gail .. I almost got that one .. hubby pointed it out .. but then I got distracted by something else and it fell by the wayside .. I'll have to hunt it again : )

'ben" wouldn't it be awful if you were a gardener with little or no sense of smell ? .. or for that fact a sense of humour ? .. I don't know which would be worse ! LOL

I agree with you about Lemon Verbena & Pineapple Sage smelling wonderful - and each time it's a fresh surprise as if your brain can't quite believe it!

I agree too. You cannot beat the fragrance of both of those herbs. I could smell them all day! I like the foliage too, it's so nice and perky!

Oops, forgot about lemon grass! I have a huge one in the ground bed in the greenhouse. Try it in a container if you like Thai cooking. Not exactly ornamental, but very cool, nonetheless...
