Second Silly Saturday Post

I couldn't help myself .. I just had to fool around with my ACDSee program (the old one .. I can't stand the updated versions .. anyone else like that out there ?) .. in any case .. I wanted to see what a "sepia" , a negative, and an embossed print would look like .. kind of a neat thing to fool around with ... for a silly Saturday post : )

I think they turned out very well. Like you I like some of the older programs better. I also love Angel Face. How many years have you had it? I have had 3 and they each only lasted one year. Couldn't survive the winters I guess. But wonderful to see yours.

I like to fool around with my editing program too. I use a different one to you, but they all sort of do the same thing. The things we do when we are bored and it is too hot to be out in the garden.

Oh, wow, Joy!!! I am beyond impressed with that embossed print! Looks like an exquisite, original wedding invitation. Wow!!! So how about trying it with one of Emma's baby pictures (like the one at right) and seeing how it looks?

'ben" ... I think I will do that ! .. I was just focused on the flowers but it might just be interesting to see that .. thanks for the suggestion : )

Crafty .. yup .. when it is a rain day .. or too hot .. or we are totally out of energy to do anything but read and play with our photo programs : )

beckie .. I have had this one for 4 years .. but the spot it is in is becoming more of a shade area, so I have to think about moving it soon. I had 'Warm Wishes" and it was so fragrant and lovely but it didn't last for me .. I guess it is very iffy ? with some of them even if they are supposed to be in our zone.

It's beyond silly Joy ;-) It's awesome. I know exactly what you mean. I loved the old version too. Sheesh, the new ones have pissed me off to that extent that I have given up the thing and only use Picasa now. I love both the setting and the effects. My compliments!

Hey garden girl ! Thanks .. it is fun to see plants in different aspects : )

Hi Violet ... glad to hear some one else thinks the new versions aren't so great either .. I have to have a good look ar Picasa .. since it is with my Blogger account .. I want to get a slide show going. I actually have to use my brain .. ugh ! scary thought right now ? LOL

These are really interesting effects; I don't usually take the time to fool around with the editing program (other than trying to find a way to un-blur my photos!). Still, nothing can compare to the colors of your originals--they're beautiful!

Thank you Rose ! .. I'm not one for special affects really .. but I just happened to try a few of them and did the post without really thinking about it .. hence the "silly" wink wink ! haha
