Little Lamb ... hungover ?

I know .. the title is "iffy" but literally you could say Little Lamb hydrangea is hungover .. first time I have ever seen it do this mind you .. must have been tea- toattling ? all those other times I took its picture ? I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do in a situation like this ... do I cut the heavy blooms off to take the strain off the plant ? Do I wait a little longer, selfishly so I can have a bit more pink in the blooms and cut to dry them for inside ? .. Any advice is SO welcomed !!

This year, I'd prop it up so those pinkish tints will come out in a bit. I'm trying to think how to prop it---??.. I guess attatch it to that trellis with some panty hose strips.

Soon after you snip the blooms, add a tomato cage to it so the blooms will get supported next year. I do love how it looks along that path. It just needs for the blooms to look up a bit.

Thanks Anna .. I ran out of supports this year .. which shocked me because I bought quite a few more to have on hand .. but holy crap ! more are still needed ! thanks for the ideas : )

I have this problem too with my hydrangea. I thought about the tomato cage too and sounds good to me so I will try that next year.

Seems like your garden got gigantic this year! Is it the weather or the good food you put in the ground for them?

Hey Anna .. we just had this conversation ! You must be exhausted girl ! LOL .. the rain man has been kind : ) .. I did make sure to use a good general fertilizer fist thing in the Spring though .. the garden is getting older and needs a boost like that now.

Yup .. Anna has a good idea .. I'm going to see what I can do for next year too ! .. we can compare notes ? LOL
