Morning Clouds Whipping By

It has been a really windy day here and the clouds have been racing by.
This morning the changes were so quick .. I just kept snapping away because it seemed so dramatic to me .. how fast the sky changes.
I wanted to catch the suns rays trying to break through the clouds .. you can almost see patches of clear blue sky through the clouds .. I know when I have flown that it always amazes me when we break through cloud and rain and come to perfectly calm blue sunny sky .. that is whats happening above these clouds.

The last two pictures remind me of morning mist on the lake .. just soft and wispy and floating by at their own speed .. not a care in the world.

Beautiful photos. the sun was actually out for a little while this morning, but it clouded over by lunch time. No rain yet, but lots of wind.

Wow those are some great sky pictures Joy. I love the way the clouds are shadowed against that orange sky. We had rain yesterday.

Lovely sky photos Joy! You and I seem to be skywatchers too, not just gardening geeks! LOL

Hey msrobin .. Thank you ! I am totally fascinated by the sky .. I'm glad to know other people are too ! .. I think there is a connection between us garden geeks and the sky thing .. have you joined Skywatch yet ? .. I keep forgetting to .. jeez !

Hi PG .. the weather was VERY mixed yesterday .. a cold front is supposed to swing in for tomorrow and stay clear for a few days .. Halloween is looking good ! : )

Gorgeous photos of the sky, Joy! I love to look at the different cloud formations.
We've had some rain here, too, but yesterday just a lot of wind--I don't have to rake any leaves now:)

Hi Rose .. thank you ! .. yes .. I laugh at those neat nuts that rake and rake .. then have the neighborhood leaves leap on their lawns again in the end .. silly people ! LOL

Fabulous - big sky fan, here! It is amazing how quickly the formations change. My favorite element was the upward slanting rays.

I'm dying to photograph those downward slanting 'angel rays,' but every time I see them, I'm in the wrong place to stop or without my camera.

Nice job! ~ Deb
