The Great White North .. a little of it ?

Little styrofoam balls fell today .. well, not exactly that .. not literally, but visually it was very darn close .. tiny hard little chunks with just about the same texture, "spit" at us as we were dashing in and out of buildings to run our errands. I can't call it our first snow even though technically it just might be almost that. Unless you trap some on your tongue and yell first snowflake .. I really don't think it counts ; )
The Benchwarmers on the other hand .. they think it COUNTS with the minus degree temperature and actual white S**** (stuff .. ha ha made you wonder !) sticking to them.

Dave telling WG " ... if you think your life is hard, try sitting on a cracked mushroom ALL winter, lad !"

LOL...those little bench warmers are too cute! At least Dave's got a pipe to keep him warm!

The weather is cold here but nothing like in your part of the world...
:-)
I would love to have a bit of snow once in a while, though. But no. It only snowed here (Lisbon, Portugal)once in the past 13 years.

:-D

Jose .. if only we could order our snow on a "need a bit" basis ? LOL
I don't think I could not have snow all of those years ! I couldn't be Canadian without it : )

Hello inadvertantfarmer ! Yes .. the Benchwarmers think they are cute too ! haha .. the pipe can be a bit tricky at times though : )
I am in absolute awe of your gorgeous pictures .. the sunset is stunning .. I only wish I could take pictures of that some day . so beautiful !

In these parts it gets down to fifty or sixty and people act like they're in an igloo. I'm wearing shorts (hey, I grew up in windy Oklahoma), and everyone else is covering their mouths with their coats like they can see themselves breathe at that temperature. I'm pretty oblivious to it.

I was feeling sorry for the Benchwarmers sitting on that cold, snowy bench till I read that poor Dave is sitting on a cracked mushroom. LOL, I'm still laughing, Joy...

Patsi .. a gnome always has friends girl ! Did you see that last episode of "True Blood" ???

Rose .. Dave can be a BIG baby .. but sitting on that cracked mushroom .. well, he has a right to complain about THAT doesn't he ? LOL

Brenda .. I do have to say we giggle in the summer when we see American tourists all bundled up on a coolish day and we are stripped down to bare clothing .. funny people ! And good for you girl ! you are hardy : )

Joy,

just spent a few hours with a friend walking and talking...half the time she would say...What were we talking about?" then it would be my turn! Spelling...I have to use spell check! Gail

Gail ! my god girl, then I am not the only one who loses my train of thought ? (along with a heavy dependancy of spell check) .. hours of walking and talking ... that sounds wonderful to me ! : )

You win! They're threatening us with flurries for tomorrow. It's about 20º right now, with strong wind. I complained when it was nearly 70º last Saturday, wishing for cool, crisp weather - how about something around 45? Typical New England!

Actually, I'm jealous, as I have yet to capture anything whiter than frost, thusfar. Don't Dave & WG have goosebumps, by now? Glad I'm not a Canadian benchwarmer. /Deb

Cute benchwarmers. I think we have that same gargoyle (the one covering its mouth), it guards some of my daffodil bulbs at the moment. Then again, not sure how well it can guard with its eyes closed!

Karen .. Gargoyles are pretty tricky. Even with their eyes closed they have a keen sense of what the heck is going on ? LOL .. I'm sure your daffs are VERY safe : )

Deb .. we woke up to a light dusting of snow .. other areas have had a lot more so we are lucky ! Hey .. we are talking Canadian here .. so the Benchwarmers never have goosbumps they ARE Canadian EH !! haha
