Gorgeous Sunrise

This was Monday's gift to me (I know, rather egotistical of me to think that way) but there I was in the wee morning hours snapping away. Trying to catch how absolutely breath taking the sunrise was. I am grateful to be a morning person because we have enough of a view to catch the sun as it starts rising .. I am in bed so early each night I would never catch a beautiful sunset (we have no view of it either) so I have to rely on you fellow bloggers to show case sunset pictures so I can enjoy them ?

Yes ! it truly looks as if the sky is on fire when you focus in to the intense layer of colour as the sunrises .. it never ceases to amaze me and I appreciate seeing it very much : )

It slips back to looking like a normal sky when those bands of pink and red disappears .. I love the streaky clouds all the same .. they hold different hues of blue, gray, purple and pinks ..

It is all so very pretty it makes you forget any of your worries just then and there .. I'm happy to have this as stress therapy any morning !

Your sunrise pictures are almost enough to persuade me to arise at dawn to see what my sky has to offer me. Then again, I doubt if I could match your gorgeous pictures, so I might as well sleep late - again. Thanks for sharing such a magical gift.

Beautiful. You can see why Homer called it "rosy-fingered dawn".

Hi Lynn .. I'm glad I can let you know what my mornings look like at times .. there is almost nothing worse than a gray morning to start your day .. so red ones make me chipper ? LOL

Hello there WS .. hey, you are one of many that can't quite make it up early in the morning .. it is just something in me since I was a kid .. so I will share great skies like this for the night people to see ? haha

Hi Victoria .. it is an amazing site and I never get tired of seeing each one .. they are beautiful : )

Thanks Cathy .. it has something to do with particular particles in the atmosphere .. heaven knows what but I am glad they are there !

Hi Cindee .. I'm lucky we live on a higher side of the city so I can take these sort of pictures : )

Nancy I feel like I have a special start to the day when I see sunrises like this .. a tingle goes up my spine : )

"ben" thank you ! .. I'm waiting for that "wealthy" ? bit to kick in on one of my lottery tickets some day ?? LOL

I'm a sunset girl, though I have a couple of sunrise photos, just a few. I wish I could get up earlier and get out into the day, it makes you feel more alive but I'm always too tired/lazy. x

Joy that was fantastic...we don't have that big open sky you have so this is a great treat! Thank you...Hows the back? gail

Carrie girl .. I doubt you are lazy at all ! You just aren't a morning person .. i would love to have a view to take sunset pictures but houses really block that off from us .. so sunrises are my grab bag ! LOL
You are right though .. seeing that beautiful sky first thing in the morning .. well it was wonderful ! the moon and some stars were still in the sky too : )

Hey Gail .. Thank you girl ! .. I guess yoga does work because I have to say I was able to get more work done in tandem with hubby .. we are getting there with paring down and the tidy up ! thanks for asking .. it can get scary when your spine says STOP ? haha

Wow the sky does look like it's burning. Who could remember their little worries when it looks like the end of the world is upon them. It almost makes me want to get up early.

It's a good thing you're an early riser - those sunrises are amazingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Dear Mr. WiseA** .. I almost believe you almost wanted to do that ! .. I was up at 5:30 this morning but no fantastic sunrise (not enough clouds or particles in the atmosphere) I saw the moon glowing like crazy and some pretty stars though : ) It is a shame you can't drag yourself out of bed that early ? How's that back doing ? ; )

Hello Katarina .. I am a morning person .. but I have my share of great sunrises too .. just missing them by a tad ? LOL

Oh Joy, thanks for being the early bird that you are to catch that breathtaking view. We are the same way, up quite early, well before sunrise. And we go to bed quite early too. Never call us after 9 PM!

What great pictures of a gorgeous sky. We've lived here 19 years, we're almost to the top of the hill and surrounded by tall fir trees. Not high enough to see sunrises and sunsets. That is the one thing I truly miss living here. If I want to see any I have to go somewhere else. ;-(

Frances .. you are welcome girl ! .. we are SO the same way : ) If someone knocks on the door we scatter like mice too ! LOL

Tina .. it really is a gift to see and appreciate how fantastic a sunrise is to see this way : )

Oh Raingardener .. I understand how you must feel .. we can't catch a sunset .. but I feel so lucky to have the sunrises .. can some one cut some trees down now for you ?? LOL Only joking !

I think many gardeners are morning people. I guess because they want to get out there and work before it's hot. Or something in their very natures.

Hi Racquel .. some mornings I just can't believe how beautiful the sky is .. I try to memorize them in my brain too ? : )

Hi Brenda .. I think that is a part of it .. getting out there before it is too hot and the plants are stressed .. I know when our summer starts with a bang .. I need to work in a cooler temp for sure !
