Ms. "Flame" Amur Maple is planted : )

It was a clear sunrise this morning .. peaceful , seemingly uneventful .. just an easy going day we thought would unfold for us .. you know those days .. all is right with the world and your little "Queendom" husband lets me get away with that nonsense ?
Winthrop was warmed by the rising sun as he looked over "his" (I let him get away with that) kingdom ...
... and so it came to pass that Ms. Flame was finally made to feel at home .. finally
She does have a wee bit of a curve .. but what girl wouldn't ? .. she was planted true and straight and with much love : )

... meanwhile back at the farm .. Lassie was trying to tell us .. "look out !!! Millar is here and there will be total chaos in the kingdom !! ... Lassie doesn't know any better so we let her get away with that ?

Actually there has been a jump start surprise to this day when Millar phoned me from his truck waiting outside our driveway VERY early this morning .. he spoke softly on the phone thinking it would be easier on me ? He was supposed to start tomorrow .. but who am I to say no ? are you crazy ? I have been waiting for this to finally get under way !! Pictures to follow but keep in mind this is a three year process .. this is the second year .. last year was the deck and shed. This year it is ... well ... you will get to see ?

Congratulations, Joy, on finally planting your baby tree. She's small, so cute. But she'll grow big and strong under your care. Can't wait to see phase two of your work in your garden. You must be thrilled that Millar is finally at your place.

gittan girl .. I'm sorry I haven't been to visit you more often .. things here are chaotic right now but I will have pictures to show with how it is turning out .. I still have to wait for next year's finishing touches : )

I'm sure Ms. Flame is going to enjoy her new home! I think a girl looks better with a few curves:) Now I'm wondering what changes are in store for the summer in Winthrop's kingdom...

By the way, Joy, you asked about a hydrangea I had--it's "Let's Dance in the Moonlight," which sounds like the same as yours. It's done very well so far; not very tall, but gorgeous big blooms last year.

Martha : ) planting Ms. Flame was such a great feeling .. all "plants" are like that but even more so with a tree .. they are so long lived and truly grow from "baby hood" to adult hood ? .. it is wonderful to watch that process : )

Rose girl .. I think Winthrop is going to enjoy it once it is settled (yet another year of chaos in the castle to handle though ?) It is a screaming mess right now but it will look wonderful .. eventually ! Thanks Rose .. I was curios how it did for you .. I am putting it in a side border (actually the new stone border I can call it now : ) .. and I hope it looks good there !

Thanks Kiki girl .. I too look forward to how it will look ? LOL

Kimberly : ) I think it maybe that this template is rather new to Blogger .. it might be a pain in the butt to comment ? DARN !! I hope to do posts of the before and after look so it will be interesting !

Gail too funny girl ! LOL .. This project is dragging out longer than Millar figured .. but I knew it would ? haha .. he is very good at what he does so this is going to look like a great second phase .. next year is the third phase with the stepping stones : ) I so want a year when it is just about the PLANTS !! haha

Good morning Joy!!!! So exciting that phase two has started ~ can't wait to see what you have planned. I bet it's great.
I'm very excited we have something else in common in the garden (Autumn Brillance). I hope I have better luck with it than I did 'Maypop!' I better! This one I've wanted for a long time. Thanks for the encouraging words. I want it to be 15 feet high already! :-)
Have a great weekend and congrats on your new Maple. She looks good and you are so right about lovin' the curves!

Kathleen girl ..lets just forget about that whole "maypop experience" ? LOL .. it never happened ! .. I have no idea what a Maypop is .. don't care ..forget aboud-it ?? hehehehe
Autumn Brilliance is a beauty and yes ! I wanted mine to be that tall right now too : ) .. but she will grow and be a beauty so I don't mind .. too much .. waiting for her and Ms. Flame : )
A little rain is falling here now .. we need a lot .. but please wait until the BBQ is finished ? haha : ) Have a great weekend too girl !

Racquel girl .. I am so excited seeing it slowly coming together .. Millar thought it would be done in 2 days .. silly man .. it is going to take a couple more days and he finally realized it .. maybe it was the "adding on" that stretched it out ? LOL .. He is great at what he does and it is gong to look wonderful to me : )
