Amazing Sunrise

I've been sick with a miserable head cold, allergies that just don't quit, a garden reno that is so darn exciting and exhausting at the same time I think about it all night ...
Well .. you get the picture ... I'm a wreck.
But .. I always feel better for that golden time that I am up with the girls going through a familar routine I can count on. I am so a creature of habit and it keeps me feeling safe and secure ..
I appreciate that so much.
I never know if there is going to be a sunrise worth capturing .. I keep snapping away, no matter what, most times in any case ..
This morning .. I though ... nahhh ! .. not much going on really .. but I'll hang around a little longer ...
Pink skies delight me .. so this was nice to see ...
Then it got more dramatic by the minute .. literally this happens in minutes .. no joke !
It actually didn't look real to me .. it was so BEAUTIFUL !
I wanted a close up of the fireball .. I love seeing the actual "buds" of the shrubs show through !
The clouds were magnificent in reflecting that amazing glow ..
You can see the mackerel clouds foretelling the rain showers we had later on ..
I am so glad I stayed out on the deck to see this gorgeous sunrise ..

You just never know how it will turn out until you see for yourself !

The saga continues with the garden reno .. Millar is very creative and husband is handy helper man : )

Incredible sunrise and photos! :-) WOW!

Hope you're feeling better. The Musician was sick for three weeks, but is finally over his cold. I know what you mean about excited and exhausted in the garden...sometimes, I have to catch myself and STOP or else I'll just plant things to get it done rather than stick to my plan.

Your photos almost make me want to wake up early voluntarily to see if the sunrise around here is even half as beautiful.

Beautiful pictures Joy! I am also an allergy sufferer with a head cold (whine). So unfair to be a passionate plant person with hayfever. As soon as the tree buds & grasses start, it's antihistamines for me. My other passions are horses, dogs & cats, and yes, I'm allergic to them too. :( Sorry for the pity party! Hope you feel better soon. :)

Beautiful photos, Joy. And I so understand about being a creature of habit; I'm very much like that. And when my routine is disrupted, I get a little agitated.

I hope you're feeling better soon. It's really sucky having a cold this time of year!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Joy, but looking forward to the great reveal of your garden.

Hi Joy,
I hope you are feeling better. I was moving lots of plants around, but have slowed down, even though there is more to do. I'm not sure what to do with a couple areas.

Your sky shots are beautiful! I can't pick a favorite.

Joy, that's the most glorious sunrise! We never see them like that here. Sunsets yes, but not sunrises.
Your spring garden is looking beautiful with all those pretty blooms. Yes, spring really is fresh and wonderful after the long winter. Truly a delight! Thanks for visiting. Your cheery comments are always such a pleasure to find in my inbox :)
I hope life settles down for you soon. A little smooth sailing is needed, yes? :)

Hi Joy~~ I like the way the trees descend on the right hand side of the photo--a very unique and intriguing element. Very nice. I hope you feel better soon dear. Give yourself a hug from me.

Hello there Freda !
Thank you : ) it was the best one I think I have photographed yet .. I held my breath a lot because it was so amazing : ) Good grief girl 3 weeks .. that poor guy .. I think I am getting much better now .. the allergy medication is kicking in phew !
You are so disciplined girl .. I wish I was more like you with that ..I am helter skelter with the garden in an uproar ! LOL

kd girl !! it is nice to see you here : ) and thank you very much !
It was a fluke that I decided to stay on the deck and see how it would turn out .. I almost went in to start up the computer .. fate ? LOL .. hope you catch one some day too !

Rebecca girl .. a fellow allergy gardener .. how is that for irony eh ? I hate it so I'm hoping this new med works and I can stop the faucet nose from running ? LOL
Yes .. we think our girls contribute to this too .. but hey .. we love who we love right ? and I am too happy to share a pity party with you : ) LOL

Martha girl it is spooky how much we are alike .. we laugh about that a lot eh ? .. I am feeling a bit better today and the test of the allergy med will happen today .. I MUST plant as many babies here as possible .. my Breck order came and another load soon to come .. eeekkkkkkk !
John is golfing today (he helped Millar all day yesterday) I hope his back holds up for his golf date today ;-)

Deborah girl .. it is hard holding back not showing pictures .. but when I do it will be really neat seeing before and after .. even neater if I can scan the pictures of when we first bought this house .. almost nothing here but dead grass, a sand pit for the little one and two dead trees !

Thank you so much Sue : ) I move a lot of plants around too .. in fact today is one of those sessions and yes .. we can go over board and work ourselves into the ground .. I have to watch out for THAT ! LOL

Kerri girl thank you ! : )
I always love visiting your place and seeing what wonderful gardens you have .. and the cat kids of course ;-)
We almost never get much of Spring here .. we fast forward to hot humid summer most years .. so those fresh Spring days are something I love to work in.
I will be so happy to have a normal QUIET routine again .. I know it will feel a lot easier on me .. but it is exciting to see the changes happening in the garden .. thrilling in fact .. I waited a very long time for this Eden to take place : ) Thanks Kerri !

Robin girl hello there and thank you so much ! I have to see if you have been snapping some sunsets ? I hope so !!

Grace girl, thank you so much: )
I was going to mention you with the "pink" factor working in that sunrise : ) I know you are a big PINK fan girl : )
YES ! I love those trees .. it softens the aspect and makes it look wonderful .. I don't know what I would do if they were cut down ! So for now it is perfect : )

Cindee girl : ) thank you !! .. I didn't think it was going to develop into what it DID ! I was so excited I was worried the camera was shaking too much.. even with the anti shaking feature ? LOL .. Ah ! the ocean .. waves of clouds in pure colour ? ;-)

Well there you go, nothing like a good sunrise to make you feel better. I hope each sunrise chases those allergies away a bit more-and quick! You sure capture some nice shots.

Oooooooooo! Pretty... All sunrises are beautiful to be me because it's means we have lived to see another day. :-)--Randy

Skies like that make it worth being up early, for sure. :) Gorgeous start to the day!

I have never seen a sunrise so beautiful. It gives you a subtle and soothing feeling watching the sunrise you have captured.

Well Joy, the new picks system is up and running, and I just can't bring myself to use it. I could, of course, give all of my faves (you, northern, deborah..) '5's as a default, but it still doesn't sit right with me. I think I'll have to take a break from picks, and just go off my blogroll for the next while. I hope no one is offended, it isn't that I've forgotten about anyone. :*(

Beautiful sunrise photos. I hope you are feeling better now. It is "that" time of year for allergy sufferers. I am one of them too.

Tina girl I just couldn't believe how beautiful it was myself .. and then to see the picture load on my lap top there was so much more to see .. it was stunning .. I don't know how another sunrise can beat it ? LOL

Randy you are a soft hearted gardener aren't you : ) You are absolutely right though ! It is awesome watching this one unfold : )

Nancy girl it was so beautiful I can't even express how I felt when I was snapping the pictures .. a profound feeling struck me.

Thank you so much MK : ) it was amazing to watch .. and here i had thought it wouldn't be much of a sunrise ? I'm so glad I stayed to watch it !

Thank you Diane : ) it is the most beautiful one I have captured .. and I will be printing it off for sure !

Rebecca .. I left a note on your blog .. I can't do it either .. if it means I can't be a member any more .. well .. so be it ! I have to make sure I have as little stress in my life as possible and that detail to Blotanical is too stressful for me .. so don't fret girl .. you have lots of company !

Hey there Lisa .. Thank you : )
I think some of the meds is working .. I hardly wiped my sleeve ?? LOL at all ? LOL

Joy, what a beautiful sky! I think your habit of getting up each morning to capture it is a fantastic way to start the day. Looking forward to seeing you 'great garden reno'! :)

Hi, Joy!
Lovely photos. I know just how you feel. I'm so overwhelmed with my to do list that I don't know where to begin. (So, I thought I'd procrastinate a little longer by goofing off in the blogosphere!) I hope you're feeling better soon...

Hello there Ms S !
Yes .. the treat of being woken up by two screwball cats NEEDING ? their breakfast pronto .. well enough of the head butting on the bedroom door ? LOL
Thank you and I hope to get some pictures posted soon .. I'm scrambling to lay good garden soil down along the new edged areas and I am so tired I just want to fall over and stay there .. for a long time ? ;-)

Thanks Kate girl ;-) I am a procrastinator TOO ! Until I am up against the wall and I HAVE to get things done or I will start screaming .. no one wants to see or hear that happen ? LOL
Take a nap Kate , you sound tired : )

Hi Joy, I had the same experience last night with the sunset! It looked about the same except for that the sun was going down then "lol" I had to go and get my camera and our youngest doughter so that she could see it to and there we where both of us snapping a lot of pictures. Sometimes it's just amazing! I hope we get of those =)

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Hello there gittan : ) It has to have been the most gorgeous sunrise I have captured yet !!
