Garden Reno PT # 1 Year2 Phase 1

One of the worst offences ... long STRAIGHT lines in a garden. Guilty as charged !
In my defence .. my first priority were trying out plants before being able to jump into landscaping of the professional kind and of course .. expense !
Yes .. can you hear me screaming still ? and it is NOT finished yet.
This is year 2 phase 1 .. hopefully phase 2 will happen late summer early Fall.
Wooden ties were great at keeping things neat .. I had to use something and they did the job !
My trusty rain barrel didn't mind the company he ? she? kept as long as it rained ?
Seriously, I had to have some stones .. I still have to have some stones ... the more the merrier !
.. and so it began .. I can't call it bricking .. it isn't .. it is man made stone and it is beautiful if not a huge "look at these mommas !" you can stand on them, sit on them , dance on them .. and they are not moving !
Beautiful : ) and some what natural looking yes ? .. the plants will eventually spill over them for a soften affect.
Yes now that things are squared and even I have gaps to fill with good dirt for happy plants !
... and more stones to top off my pretend dry river bed .. I just have to have one, so there !
The scooping out of the other side of the borders to soften the look instead of having two long straight lines .. more room for more plants ? that has to be a GOOD thing right ??
After I had taken these pictures .. I was busy planting .. and planning .. again !!

You could always give them an aged patina if you're not crazy about the new look Joy. I like the way things are coming together. Can't wait to see how it looks over the next few seasons when the plants start taking over. :)

Hello Racquel !
It has been such a great reno to see coming together like this and it really makes one heck of a difference going from wooden ties to stone .. the wood worked for starting out .. but now this is even better : )
