Spooky Shadow Shot Sunday !

This is a semi special "Spooky Shadow Shot Sunday" post .. it is just shy of 125 days until Halloween. If you have paid any attention to my blog, you know that is an obsession of mine when I can direct my attention to it .. the perfect holiday out of the whole year .. when you really can be a KID again .. literally .. dress up like a kid or a favorite spooky character .. see? , I can go on, and on, and on, about it all ..
BUT .. I want to point out that this scary looking plant is Miss Willmott's Ghost" erygium giganteum .. aka sea holly .. aka REALLY SPOOKY PLANT !!!! which casts a SPOOKY SHADOW ! cue spooky music and a few thunder claps .. flashes of lightning .. ok .. hold the rain.
I have had this plant go straight to foliage with no flowers until now .. third year.
So I mean to drag this post out as long as possible .. 3 years .. is a lot of time !
OK .. I have to give credit to Tracy aka Hey Harriet at Shadow Shot Sunday headquarters
for this some times ... scary ... meme ... ok ... I do what I can, with what I have folks ! eeekkkkk !!!

What a fun post! Those shadows really highlight the spikes on the foliage!

I am shivering in my muddy boots. Great shot, and is that not one of the most beautiful colored flowers that you have ever seen?

I think this is a wonderful capture of light and shadow. I didn't think of it as being spooky until you said so. I thought of it as having soft light.
