Shadow Shot Time !

The sun came out to play and left her finger print on my kitchen wall .. showing off her power to create shadows on objects she has kissed with her rays ? ... the time is actually passing quickly it seems, with Shadow Shot arriving again before I even have time to mull over too many shots. Having said that, all I can think of is how much snow we have and how much more time we will be stuck in winter mode .. blah !!
Tracy over at Hey Harriet has all of us "shadow shooters" lined up to show off our personalized shadows .. so go have a peek, and see the world as we see it, through light and dark : )

The canal on the plate leads me right to the shadows!

SILLY SHADOW DITTY

Shadows may or may not be
Patterns of urbanity.
If a shadow threatens you,
Here, my dear, is what to do:
Grab the shadow by the throat,
Toss it to a billy goat,
So the goat can chomp and chew,
Keeping it away from you!

Joy, did you know that this your blog is coming up on google reader (at least on mine) under both of your blog names?

Interesting picture!! I like how the angle of the sun changes throughout the year, causing different shadows and sunbeams around household items. :)

Wasn't that storm sumthin...the poor birds.Next summer I'm planting mtn ash...saw a flock of robins clambering all over one this morning...is that a sign...sorta like your St. Elmo's fire...what was that all about and yes, I've heard snow thunder many times, sounds like the end of the world, huh!

Have a great weekend, stay warm!

I love that the sun "left her fingerprint" on your wall. :) I think I need to put some chocolate chip cookies out to invite her to leave a print on mine too. lol

Happy to see she is lingering a little longer each evening now though - yay! :)

I like the way the shadow is clinging to the wall. In summer, the whole wall is illuminated. It'l come soon enough. I'm sure you're mulling over seed catalogues, no? Hope all is good with you.

Peace

I like the way those shadows danced on your wall. A slow, easy winter dance. Spring will come girl...it always does! Have a good SSS.

It was a lovely sunny morning yesterday, but it faded away by late afternoon. You captured a great photo for this week.

Hello Sylvia and thank you : )
I love pale creamy yellow to a room .. it is peaceful and soothing : )
Hope your weekend is relaxing girl!

Lisa : ) hi there !
It is actually hard to get used to the sunshine since we have become mole people with so little of it usually .. yup, that finger print was nice : )

EG hello there : )
Ah yes ... half way point .. makes it all the slower while we are so EAGER ?? LOL

MMT !! You have given me a huge smile and giggle with imagining a billy goat chomping on that shadow .. that was too cute, thank you : )

Sandy girl .. do you know I have not used Google Reader ! I have no idea about it .. so I didn't know both of the blog names are coming up .. does that make it a problem ? What should I do about it ? I thought I just deleted the old blog! oops !

Thank you Rebecca .. you can see I am getting a wee bit desperate ?LOL
I had a peek over at your blog and I can't believe you were working in your garden girl ! and I saw Alistair's snow hat too ;-)
Yes .. when you live in one place long enough you see how the sun affects the indoor shadows !

Sharon girl THAT was an EERIE moment or two .. thunder snow totally gave me goose pimples !!
We have a Mountain Ash that has great berries for the birds but for about two weeks when its flowers are at their max .. they smell fishy .. honestly, I had no idea about that trait when we planted it and boy it "stinks" but the insects seem to go nuts for it ! and it is all about them really isn't it?;-)

Ms S "Sun" is definitely coming sooner and staying longer and it is so nice to see , especially the morning .. I need THAT to wake up to! If you make those cookies .. I might just come over too! LOL

Hello there Joe : ).. yes this wall becomes a sun catcher when sun finally graces us with her whole smile and not just a little *smirk* to tease us with ;-).
I'm not really a seed person .. you have to have a LOT of patience for that .. let alone dedicated space .. so it is more about plants for me .. and I can't wait !!
Hope you are well and happy : )

Cassie happy SSS too ! yes .. that slow easy dance . on her toes a little ? haha .. Logically I know spring will arrive .. but my garden brain is "screaming" a little at the sight of ALL that snow to melt first !! ;-) (ps ..all that ground water is a good thing though!)

Thank you fer .. it is an old "weather station" with temperature, barometric pressure, humidity gauge.. it isn't working as accurately as it should but I like it there : )

Hey Linda your comment was in limbo and didn't load with the others !
I just saw your chili and your really nifty gadget on the pot for the spoon .. I want one of those now ! LOL

I think that the sunshine you had yesterday reached Massachusetts today. We are having a rare sunny and warm day (well, winter-warm, meaning it will max out at about 40 degrees Fahrenheit). Hopefully it will melt a small fraction of all the snow and ice around.

Great photo - I love the light and shadow and the objects themselves (especially the "weather station")!

Nice shadow shots. At least the sun came out and gave you a short breather from the ravages of winter. How nice.

Nothing like beautiful sunny rays to languish in...my husband says I'm like a cat in that I'm always finding the sunniest spot in the house to sit in! Your shot is beautiful...hang in there it won't be too much longer.

I'm so glad the sun cooperated so you could get this shot, Joy. Very nice!

Hello there RP : ) and thank you !
My little weather station is pretty old, it even survived storage while we were in Holland .. so I give it some leeway when it isn't quite accurate wink wink .. like most of us? haha .. ah yes .. the melting thing .. I hope it begins to happen soon !

Hi Grace girl .. we were soon back in the gray day blahs after that one .. I think this winter has been one of the grayest ? yet !

Hello there Whimsy : ) and thank you! Yes our cats are sun catchers too, plus fireplace magnets .. they will find the warmest place until they get too hot .. I keep thinking is this the regular schedule for winter or the extra long version?LOL

Thank you Serendipity . I'm glad I caught it at the right moment !

Hello Christine girl and thank you .. it is tricky trying to find a decent shadow shot these last few weeks ;-)

Patsi girl I do have MORE snow shadows but I just had to get away from the white stuff for this Sunday .. we have so much of it now it is going to take forever to melt !!!
You are going to laugh if nothing else Patsi .. is Nurse Jackie ever coming back ? I really liked that show ;-(
