Do you check your garden archive ?

One of our wee Goldfinches with me aiming my camera from behind the deck door and vertical blinds .. they always sense when some one is staring at them ? How RUDE ! haha
I just had to go back and check in the garden archive, "where" the garden was in growth last year compared to this year .. wow ... we are so far behind it is amazing ..
I knew this Spring was late but with so little sun , even with the wonderful rain .. plant growth is almost stunted .. it is just going to be one of those years here.
I also know that before I know it I will be complaining about how hot and humid it is .. racing out in early morning to do what ever I have to get done in the garden then hiding in the AC of the house to keep cool .. nothing is "in the middle of the road " very long is it ?

Joy, sorry to hear spring is so late to your garden. It was early here, so I'm sure we'll be roasting and toasting in drought earlier than usual.

I do look at my archives in anticipation of when plants show up, and/or bloom. I use the archives a lot when moving groups of plants so that I can synchronize the bloom moving my Starfighter lily beside the bee balm for this year!

I am going to have to go out and putting sun tan lotion on all of my plants if the sun ever shines.LOL! They have been in the clouds for so long they will get burnt for certain. No fair "Peeking Joy" on stalking those Goldfinch. LOL!

A great idea... check my garden archive, yup, I'm going to do it. Then I'm going to be sad that we are so far behind this year. Thanks for your sweet comments and your visit!

Darla girl I love this feature with our blogs .. it really helps with all sorts of points. Memory ? what the heck is that ? haha

Hello there Freda .. this has been a really slow Spring here .. but I guess we were due for one after the years before being so great .. yes! It really helps to look at certain areas of the garden in retrospect of what we have learned about certain plants.

Lona girl you caught me peeking at the finches again ! giggle snort giggle .. yup! sun tan lotion is what my plants are going to need as well .. we only have so much time to see that bright thing in the sky!

Carolyn girl you are more than welcome ! You blog is a treat to read : ) .. I also went OMG ! when I saw how much further ahead the garden was last year this time .. makes me a bit nervous for how the whole season will be !

Karen girl, you are very welcome! I love your pictures .. that water bubbling away was amazing !
Yup .. one minute we are shivering .. the next will be that horrible heat and humidity .. can't win, so I guess I have to adapt ? LOL

After all this rain and gloom we might have a nice cool summer. I haven't checked the archive but I do feel the difference.

Yes, when I look at last year it is shocking how late this year is. At least three weeks difference. I just have to remember that last year was an early spring so maybe we are not as late as it feels. But dammit, it feels late! Get growing! lol

Lisa I wouldn't mind a cooler summer .. when the heat and humidity hits here in Kingston it really socks it to me ;-)

Ms S I think you are right .. it was exceptional last year and it spoiled us ? I know the weeds are catching up a lot faster so I have to get serious about THEM ! eekk !
