Shadow Shot Time

Here we are again and it seems like the week was time warped into hours ? maybe even minutes! .. I just turn around and time disappeared .. that is what gardening can do ..
You concentrate so much on your garden, that there is no such thing as "time"
Now then .. on with the "show" aka "shadow" ? wink wink
Winthrop insisted that he has been ignored long enough and it was time for a photo shoot of just HIM ! .. so yesterday morning I caught the right light for "his" shadow on my terra-cotta pot.
So he is a happy gargoyle once again .. never mind what the "boys in the 'hood" are grumbling .. they will have to have their moment in time as well ..
Visit Hey Harriet hosted by Tracy, who is a hoot .. she makes this meme a fun part of my lost week : )

Hi Joy, Time just does whiz by doesn't it! I was looking through some of your posts to catch up. Great cloud shots! We had some amazing thunder and lightning here. Your plants are all so nicely spaced. I should take a few lessons from you. Mine are one on top of the other! Have a great weekend.

The little gargoyle seems to need a rest!

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

What a perfectly charming shadow :)

This fellow sits and ponders, his shadow equally in thought. I think that his job of enlivening your garden is a tough one, he needs to relax and recharge. So he thinks and waits for his break to be over so that he may go to work again (his is a tough job...)

Yes, the time sure does go amazingly fast when you're in the garden. I had the same problem this week. :) Love the shadow!

Great shot of Winthrop and his shadow. (Don't tell him I said so, but his shadow almost looks angelic.)

Winthrop is happy now as he's had his time. He knew the sun would help him out.
Time does seem to pass too fast. I'm still in the early Spring mode.

Kay girl I promise not to tell him that because his ego is HUGE enough ! LOL ! I love that little story involving "lavender" and the geese pictured so beautifully : )

Lola girl I feel that way too .. first time seemed to stand still while we were cold and wet .. now it is racing by .. we had another storm whip through last night .. one crack of thunder especially made us all JUMP!! haha

Thanks Grace girl : ) I left a little tidbit on Y&R for you on your last post, wink wink !

Winthrop's shadow is perfect! What an even symetrical outline, and with sharp detail! Very cool.
You know, I think I heard that first sentence of your post in a Star Trek movie oncem (or a very similar derivitive). Anyway, glad you are enjoying the gardening.

Peace

Hello there Joe and you might have heard that ramble before is true!
wink wink .. I enjoyed your photos of that amazing abandoned house .. it stirred memories of ones I saw in my childhood .. they are very mysterious places aren't they ?

Thanks Jen .. it came together at the last minute sort of thing ? phew !!

Hey Joy, Cute post!! Winthrop looks great in shadow form, but is it me, or does the shadow look a little like a winged pear? lol ;) (shhh, don't tell him!)

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Rebecca girl OMG !! how true is that! and how funny you were the first one to see it .. and then I saw it from you seeing it too ! haha
We won't tell him anything about the pear shape ... I'm one so he can just think it is me ? LOL
